  1. Has the ride quality improved on the converted sets?
  2. I've asked this before but how come the brand new cars lack the flag?
  3. Service Change Posted: 01/15/2014 4:06AM Due to a water condition at W 4 St-Washington Square, the following service changes are in effect: trains are running on the line in both directions from W 4 St-Washington Square to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av. No train service in both directions between Dekalb Av and 34 St-Herald Square. Customers are advised to take extended train service at 57 St- 7 Av for northbound service and at 21 St- Queens-Bridge for southbound service. Allow additional travel time.
  4. Has just been solved. I read it was a transformer fire.
  5. Service Change Posted: 11/15/2013 6:37AM Due to FDNY activity at Lexington Av-59 St, the following service changes are in effect: There are no & trains between Lexington Av-59 Av & Queensboro Plaza in both directions. Northbound trains are running on the line from 57 St-7 Av to 36 St (Queens). As an alternate, customers are advised to use train service, making nearby station stops. Allow additional travel time
  6. From what I've seen they take 5+ hours to resolve. Highly unlikely.
  7. This is interesting: From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 13 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 15, trains are rerouted via the line in both directions between Canal Street and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center due to general maintenance and prep work on the Manhattan Bridge prior to the Montague tube shutdown. source
  8. Has the bucking ever been so severe so as to lead to the train being taken out of service because it couldn't "get its act together", or because the brakes remained stuck? P.S. Are the cars/trucks damaged in any way from this bucking?
  9. One more question: why don't all the brakes release at the same time?
  10. Very interesting. Although I can't say dead motors are rare. Especially on the 6.
  11. Yesterday afternoon on the downtown the conductor was really something. Some woman went in the last second and blocked the door and the conductor opened the cab door and yelled at her. Can't say I didn't enjoy it though!!
  12. R62As now in service on the during the am rush too.
  13. From what I saw today there are at least 2 more sets of R62As at Westchester Yard apart from the ones that were already there until now. Also, the R62A that was used for one round trip during the afternoon rush until now was used in at least 2 trips today.
