    There are a lot of conflicting things being said about the possible R32/R46 swap. Some are saying it won't happen, some say it will. I predict that if the swap doesn't happen soon, complaints from riders about broken A/C on the R32s will eventually force the MTA to do the swap anyway. If enough people complain to the MTA about hot cars on the C line, they'd probably carry out the swap.

    Coney Island-bound trains skip Avenue U and Avenue X Weekend, 6 AM to 6 PM, Sat and Sun, Jan 12 - 13 What work is causing this G/O? On a side note, this means we get views of F trains taking the slip switch from the express to the local track at Avenue X in addition to running express via Culver Viaduct and Bergen Lower during a separate G/O.

    There were two NYCT R44 cars that had their carbon steel "belts" replaced with stainless steel ones. If I remember correctly, all R44s, regardless of the metal used for the belt, still had carbon steel frames underneath the body.

    I was going to actually explain why this is hypocritical, but I think just this sentence is enough... Anyway, in terms of efficiency, it doesn't seem cost effective to have a set just sitting around when it could be in passenger service. What is the reason for the train staying in the East?
