  1. The ID kicks in at Kew Gardens for the and ..
  2. No they give you time to get it right and they cant fire you for that lawsuit city.... Yard or station switching and yes hes not thrilled with reporting to work 5 or 6 or 7 hours after he normally does...
  3. They trust the Computer in the A Div with ATS.. Not so much over here in the B Div as of now.. Time will tell.. Will i be around to see it? Not sure...
  4. Oh yeah can imagine ATO in effect going over some of those switches that are nice and tight like the ones leaving the plaza both directions..
  5. That 1341 cho out of Parsons at least twice a week gets tagged as a 1347...
  6. Yep I'm sometimes calling at fifth ave when I see no ID... I tell T/Os all the time if your train isn't IDd you aren't getting past the Plaza that Homeball will stay at Danger.
  7. Its not just that.. If you work with a partner and that partner screws up you both go downtown.. Drilling in Yards isn't what it used to be they need these trains fixed and depends on what time one starts good chance there are two moves instead of one. If your condition is bad enough they'll put you out NWA (No Work Available) then you got to go through hoops just to get back on the payroll yes you can file for unemployment. Your tours and days off belong to the Crew Office and they can and will put you anywhere. Now if you are extra extra ok but if you got a Picked job with a set time kiss that goodbye you aren't seeing that. I was medically restricted i speak from Experience. There's a T/O right now restricted for his hearing his PICKED JOB starts at 1230PM they have him reporting to work at 1700PM.. He is pissed....
  8. Bid Sheets are filled with temp vacancies(File numbers in the high 2000s to 3000s) some are comp but lots are Medical Restrictions... Seems Sleep Apnea is the MAC centers flavor of the month they give folks time for compliance and they just muddle around... Sadly some folks are getting a taste of the real MTA at a early start of their careers..
  9. They prob wont even try to activate ATO until they have it all connected from Jamaica and Parsons.
  10. Word to the wise ... When you clear Medical Hold for anything they find not right (pressure, sugar ,apnea eyes, hearing) they dont forget. Keep going to your doctor and get paperwork showing you good.. Especially if you are Scheduled for a "revisit"(every six months) that means they are checking to see if you are in compliance of whatever they found not right... They are str restricting people you want to part of that meaning as a T/O you are just working in yards or switching Conductors you are working platform.
  11. For next pick I went switching so my CBTC adventure as far as I can see it will be Over... By the time they'll have it fully Online In queens I most likely wont be there finishing my time down here.. It wasn't fun while it lasted....
  12. Heh... Bingo.. "You are an imperfect being designed by a imperfect being"...
  13. Yep which i find hilarious considering they had a Bulletin out about it...
  14. Depends on how the Pick Goes some get it quick some dont when we started in 2001 we had A LOT of folks in front of us so it took over ten close to 15 years just to get a part of it..
  15. Sub C is a good choice if one is tired of the road indeed... Will make Money as a Work train T/O... *DISCLAMIER dont be a eff up Sub C is one of the quickest way to lose those handles....
  16. That takes time here to get something close to what one wants.. Which is cool no one says this Job is perfect.. The issue IS some folks dont want that they want what they want NOW.. I suggest staring a ONLYFANS page then...
  17. That's because some folks dont know what struggle is and they used to stuff being handed to them... Cant get anything any better out here as well.. So they whine and complain...
  18. Took me 14 years as a TO to get PART of the weekends off... S/M i couldn't even get F/S..
  19. Thier new name.. Operations Control Center..
  20. OCC now controls the interlockings at the Plaza area as well as Roosevelt ave. Trains are IDd at Kew Gardens SB and Fifth ave NB, line ups come in based on train IDs.
  21. CF is ok they are all by the book there.. You'll make money too.. After a while you wont want any part of the road
  22. Yard leads that go to the mainline you do not need permission from OCC to key up to the Homesignal. Going through a Flagging area DO NOT MOVE that train until you make sure everyone is cleared up safely that trip and red lantern is picked up and you have the proper signal from the flagger to proceed. If you have a Tech train and there is inclement weather make sure that Wiper is working before you leave the Terminal.. If there is a incident and G2s are written please do not use the words "Oh everybody else dose it" or "that's how it was shown to me" will just bring more heat to places just take the spanking and get it over with..
