I'm so addicted to this song right now! I heard it at the bar about 2 months ago, and now that I know all the words I'm hooked!

You do a great job on those signs! I was wondering if you could make one for me whenever you get a chance?

Delivery Update: Between today and the next 2 weeks, expect to see another 20 buses. Possibly in the range of 3800, 3801, 3818-3831.
3819, and 3820 are now here!

I've been out and about on Staten Island and have yet to see a single O7 either today or yesterday.
They are probably out on the road for training and service.

Everyone stay tuned for 3803-3806, 3813, 3814, & 3816. They are on their way!!! Two of these buses should be delivered to Zerega today and/or tomorrow. Production is set to ramp up within the next 30 days at a rate of 6 buses per day coming off the assembly line. I'm also thinking 3800, and 3801 will be here in mid/late September. Looks like 3800-3839 will be at CAS, and 3840-3879 will be at YUK, but don't quote me on those assignments! Ya'll know how is....

3802,07-09,11-12 and 17 are said to be at CAS and 3815 is said to be at YUK.
What buses are going to be retired by the Next Gen. O7's?
The TMC re-powers, and the early Orion V's

We-e-ell, finally! Next big thing is when the NGs with the new hybrid system get in, but that's not gonna be for a while right?
Yeah, i'm not sure when they will be converted to the new batteries, but i bet it's somewhere around 3820. I'll let you guys know as soon as i find out the number.

The three O7 NGs are there. I saw 3802 last week, and managed to spot an O7NG (it ould have been either 3809 or 3807) sitting inside the yard by the security gate around 1230pm today.
This is the real deal people!
That sounds about right. IIRC, 3802-3818 or 3801-3817 should all be here within a week.

Ahhh so it is a CAS route, didnt know that.
Also according to subchat
3809 & 3817 are @ Zerega, along with Orion VI 6355
I just can't wait to ride one!!. 3802 Is almost ready to hit the streets!!

It has now been confirmed. 3802 is in SI and pics will be posed shortly by Pablo.

what depot will it be in?
I think they will all be at CAS.

Ok so there may be some truth to 3802 being at CAS. The buses have finally passed the audit inspection and are being delivered as of right now. The first 17 buses will be here over the next 2 weeks. Several of them have already begun their trip from upstate NY. They will head over to Jersey before being deliverd to Zerega. Some of which are already there. So the big Question..... Is 3802 here???? I don't know about the number for sure, but it is definitely an NG. And as I stated earlier, this first lot will have the old battery packs on the roof.
Happy Hunting!!!

Right

Way
hope that helps.
ROW is the property that a transportation company owns/operates on and through. It can include many acres of land, or just the land the track sits on plus a minimal clearance area to each side. ROW can also mean something with road or marine traffic. The rules and laws governing ROW usage and operation are somewhat complicated, but for heavy rail subway etc basically it means you can put track down, build infrastructure to support rolling stock, its storage, upkeep, etc. Sunnyside yard is the largest ROW in an urban area, and only exists as we know it because PRR bought the land before the area was developed as it is today. LIRR west side yard ROW only applies to the grade of the yard and not air rights, some ROW retain air rights for future expansion of structures & services, or to maintain the loading gauge for proper clearances.- Andy
Thanks guys!!

The reason path has an FRA rules applied to them is because of an connection to the NEC at harrsion yard. Those NS freight trains run on the same ROW as path but not on the same tracks.
Okay.... whats an ROW???

Well, don't forget about Metro-North and Long Island RailRoad.....
They have 3rd rails too???

^Alright thanks a lot.
No problem man!

I wasn't aware of any difference between the two terms.
Railroads don't have third rails.

I just don't really understand why it uses old subway cars if it's supposed a "railroad".
I also consider the PATH system to be a subway, I don't think that anybody really calls it a railroad.
That's because it's The Staten Island Railway.

Thanks. SIR is the weirdest transit system I've ever seen, although I still refuse to call it a railroad with the "trolleys" running on it.
Whats so wierd?? Its the same as any other IND/BMT line.

No they don't!! Their 44's are awsome and don't need to be replaced!
Lol... just 1 set!
LOLSo SIR is only R44? Hmm in that case, I won't be riding it anytime soon...
:eek:Those 44's are nice!!!!

I like the SIR. I caught it for the first time this summer! They need to put a set of R160's on the line!!

So progress on the NG's seems to be coming along at a better pace. But get this! The fisrt batch to be delivered will have the old hybrid system! What's up with that??? Aparently the upgraded system with A123 lithium ion batteries won't make it into our NG's untill 2009! Stay tuned for an "old" NG!
