Ulmer Park needs extra buses since their 2011 prevosts are always crapping out.

They won't get these MCIs. A bit of training for buses that are technically 3 or so year rentals aint worth it. Better off sending it to depots that are actually trained with them, in this case, basically all of Staten Island.

And Ulmer Park's maintenance has always been on the shifty side when it comes to their express fleet, so it's more or less their own doing.

So, this isn't completely official yet, as it's pending FTA approval, but Green Mountain Transit up in Vermont is planning to transfer 7 2013 MCI D4500CTs over to NYCT. These buses have not been used in service for some time. I can definitely see Castleton getting all 7 of these.

There is a pretty good chance that these will also be in the new scheme, just completely wrapped. Whether or not the signs or the alcoas will remain will be up for debate(they'll likely get swapped out).

Eastchester getting electric buses in the future is interesting… I wonder how that would work out

They've been slated for a few years now to get electric local buses. They were supposed to get the 25 Electric Bus order for MTA Bus, but that's been postponed several times now.

The following is information from "TJ Trainman" (posting on his behalf)...

#9281-9283 are WAITING to go to LaGuardia. #9285 is on it's way to the vendor.

In addition, the following are LOANS from LaGuardia to College Point...#1538, #3297, #3301-3302, #4098 and #4380

I can definitely confirm 4098, saw it last night on the Q65 around midnight.

124-125: Valhalla garage to PTLA Enterprise.

There are no more Orion shorts at Valhalla. This leaves PTLA the last operator for Bee-Line to have the Orion shorts in service.

I don't know where you are getting this information from, but 124 is still in service out of Valhalla.

I meant to say before 2008. And that incident is exactly why the authority should have beefed up security and police responses on board their buses.

Good luck with that. Imagine them trying to have cops on every single local bus in the city, it'd be a resource problem on both ends. It would be nice to see MTA PD finally in the subways and buses. I very rarely see them anywhere else outside of Woodside, Jamaica, Grand Central or Penn Station. Police responses can be slow at times too.

    😐 whatever u say dude

This is not a place for you to act childish, my guy. Either clean up your act or you can see yourself out of this forum, by choice or not.

Unless you have actual proof other than hearsay that 9006 has been delivered, we'll take your word for it.

Otherwise, Seveneleven is 100% right on his assertion. It's currently not registered in the internal system, nor is it actually listed on Baisley Park's roster of buses.

The BxM4D was only created because of the railroad strike. The reason why the BxM4C wasn't apart of the MTA takeover is because it was based out of the local garage and not the express garage (which is now Yonkers).

HA! Good luck getting people off the train. The 4C is done, it's been done since the 2010 cuts.

I disagree, it's not the company that's not increasing service, it's the county. All operations (except the 4C) are owned by the WDOT (or NYSDOT depending on the route), which is why it's so dam hard to get any change done in the network. I know because I've tried several times to ask them to change things. The 32 for example, loses time because it has to go on Buena Vista for no reason and often gets stuck behind double parked cars and illegally parked cars instead of just going straight on Riverdale. I think I asked 3 times before I started the new job and never received a response.

There's an entire report from a public transit watchdog group about how Liberty Lines handle funds and how the County has shown massive favoritism towards them. Both the county and Liberty Lines are responsible, however, Liberty Lines is more wasteful with money compared to other smaller agencies, especially with deadhead times and other things.

Let's just say I can apply for the authority to run the 4C tomorrow. The fact that the county wants to kill it would be a major factor in the ensuing route proceeding. If LLT wins (which I expect them to), then the 4C will be discontinued and I can apply for Emergency Temporary Authority to receive the authority. If Transdev wins, the rumor is that LLT might continue the operation on their own and I would leave it alone. I would prefer not to operate the 4C before September, but that change could happen as soon as July 1 if LLT wins. Based on the articles that I have received, LLT does own the BxM4C.

That would make sense. The question is whether LLT is using their route ownership dispute as leverage. The announcement is taking a little longer than I would expect.

Late March/Early April is apparently when they'll select who gets control according to one of their addendums.

It’ll be hard to say goodbye to liberty lines AND the bxm4c😢 (Even though that won’t be too soon)

Eh, not really. Liberty Lines has shafted the county numerous times for money and have done nothing to increase service. They've done more to decrease service in some areas than actually improve service.

    Exactly.

I've been hearing rumblings about that well before talks of a redesign became public.... In any event, who's in the running for taking over the county's surface transit operations?

Last I heard, Liberty Lines and Transdev were among the bidders.

If Transdev wins, that would be extremely ironic given that Hudson Link is not that far off, and Transdev had this vision of implementing express routes to/from The Bronx and Manhattan(not drafted yet). They had this idea of replacing the 21 line with an express route.

Is that you sticking the pin in the BxM4C doll? /sarc

It is going to stick around post-Liberty Lines with a little bit more shoulder service (AM & PM). The X factor for this route is Empire City Casino as it can backfill buses in the reverse direction.

Until that redesign kicks in, whenever that will be. Whoever gets control of the operation will have to take on the redesign as well, and word is that the county wants Liberty Lines gone(and apparently, they fully own the BxM4C). They've also started retiring the Suburban Orion Vs.

You can use flickr or another image hosting site. imgur or imgbb are some quick ones. You can directly upload pictures onto the forum as well while posting. It should be the attachments part.

Not sure if anyone else on this website has talked about this, so I will. I've seen loads of links posted here, and I try to click on them, but it seems like 99% of them are broken. And have a lot of you had this problem as well or is it just me? Also, one other thing:

If you post a link in the future, please test it and make sure it works properly (and take whatever measures necessary to ensure that your links will continue to work for a long time). And if you know how to fix your links that are already broken, then I would suggest fixing it when you have the time. That way no one else would feel like they need to ask about every broken link they see.

Sorry if I sounded harsh there but I'm just very frustrated with the numerous broken links I keep finding.

It depends on the type of links, some are temporary, others might be old and expired. Share some posts that have broken links if you can.

NJT can't screw this up can they??

You would think they have  learned their lesson from the disaster of how they left 100s of fans stranded at the Meadowlands Station during that Super Bowl. It should be an "All hands on deck" with both shuttle bus and extra trains. Pay your workers overtime if need be. This time around, the whole word will be watching

Except that wasn't their fault. There was little to no communication with NJT and MetLife Stadium organizers. The folks over at MetLife didn't communicate with NJ Transit.
