  1. So since they are beginning to test them on Dyre, I take it the first 3 R188s are on property?
  2. *Long, over the top sigh* We've been over this. Mainly, The fact he R62As on the have the circle/diamond displays makes it a prime candidate.
  3. Not to mention the circle/diamond displays.
  4. Well, we did know for a good while that the first train should be here by around next month.
  5. But MITRAC may be the closest they can get so maybe it'll be in the brand new cars.
  6. He's got a point though, you gotta admit that.unless you want half of the train either being dragged or pushed like an Alstom/Adtranz combo.
  7. I for one love the switch lol best of both worlds.
  8. Who designed the FINDS? And are there versions used around the world? Excluding the WMATA 7000.
  9. 23 R188s in the base order. Not sure how many convertedR142As
  10. Actually, the Single R33s did not run during the summer so during that time, the ran 10-car consists. Conjolio, please get off the drugs. It's not that serious.
  11. And to add to what you said, the fact that the and lines are isolated have NOTHING to do with ridership numbers. It's the areas they serve that just happen to be very dense.
  12. I'm usually the one that throws the thing that people miss. Sometimes, it's still missed.
  13. I thought it was because, like the , it's a completely isolated line who's only variable is Local and Express service.
  14. But the first train is supposed to ARRIVE in the next couple months. Then begin revenue service May 13th as stated by Snowblock. Plenty of time to get out the kinks before 30-Day in service testing which would technically begin on that first revenue run. What happens AFTERWARD can be anything since anything can happen to cause the train to be pulled out of service for a bit.
  15. Thanks for the clarification, my good man.
  16. I believe the first full train arrives at the end of this year right? Testing to go on throughout most of 2013?
  17. I did not want to make a thread about this so I'll just leave it here. Last night, I received news on the 76th Street IND station that can not only put the rumors to rest, but can explain why there is no real evidence of it's existence. Simply put, It's been filled back in. Yes, behind the cinder block walls, is just dirt. Which made me not only satisfied to hear that, but also a little pissed that theres absolutely no way to see it ever again. Would love to have seen a picture or two.
  18. So yeah, Last night I noticed the only remains of the Southbound Myrtle Avenue Platforms coming off the Manhattan Bridge. The tiling on the divider wall is still there but I think you can only see it when the construction lights in the tunnel are on.
  19. Who cares. Really, who cares what goes where? Why is it that every two days when I come back, it's the same comments re-worded in every way possible? What makes the most sense is what will most likely be, and most likely have been, already decided. GET OVER IT.
  20. Aaaaaaaanywhoooooo, how 'bout that MITRAC? Ehhhh? Ehhh?
  21. I never said it was a problem. You forget that the MTA went back to the design of the Redbirds for the construction of the R62/As after the design of the R44s and 46s proved to be less reliable. The body, stainless steel, can last the 40 years. The parts on the other hand, reliable yes, were obsolete when they were constructed and are just beginning to show their age.
