  1. ...and possibly along with the (M) to 179th rush hours with the (F) a full-length QB Express rush hours).
Not gonna happen. The reason why the (E) via Hillside Local worked in the past was because:

    1. the (E) went (and still does today) express west of Forest Hills.

    2. the (F) went express between Forest Hills and Jamaica, yet still operated express west of Forest Hills.

Send the (M) via Hillside local, and expect empty trains. They want express service, hence why the (R) extension to Jamaica failed years ago after the (E) was shifted to Jamaica Center.

  2. (C) trains were running express via 8th Avenue this morning. One arrived at 42 St/Port Authority downtown and I rode it all the way to Chambers St. Once I transfered to the (C) express uptown, it was shifted onto the local tracks past Canal St.

No pics, but I wrote down the car numbers.

    3682/3, 3425/4, 3441/0, 3779/8 (downtown)

    3346, 3887/6, 3729/8, 3730/1 (uptown, forgot the other number)

  3. I've been somewhat lazy... don't know if this week will be different, but we'll see...

Oh, and congrats for lasting a year here. Now don't leave or I'll hunt you down. :P Actually scratch that. If you leave, don't EVER request an Express bus sign from me again.

Not sure if you have tried it but around the HUB is a good place to busfan. Also you can try Westchester square.
What's funny is that I was there this week, but I have to replace my camera today b/c the camera lens won't open properly and the LCD screen is sightly damaged.
  5. My thread is dying.

Anyways, I made one sign. The (6) Pelham shuttle started in 1980 with the (4) as the only Lexington Av local during the nocturnal hours. Prior to 1980, the (4) was express all times while the (6) was local. This changed in 1999 as riders complained about long waits when they transferred between trains. Since then, the (4) and (6) are local during the nighttime.

    Anyone can start requesting here!

Really the road collapsed? This I got to check....
Yep, that's what the B/O said. Some passengers wanting to get off at the other side of Concourse and Anthony Av had to get off in front of Concourse (near the downtown Bx1/2 stop). I don't know if downtown buses were rerouted to Burnside Av, however, and I don't know for sure if everything's back to normal now. It was hard to see that hill at Tremont since the driver took a turn at 178 St.
