  1. R250:

*Sticker strip maps as seen on the (1), (3), and (7) attached in windows (pre-R44)

*Exterior side and front rollsigns as seen in Redbirds and R32s (pre-GOH).

*Interior LED sign as seen on NTT fleets.

*Bench seats, arranged like the 75-footers.

*60 footers, 3 doors, pre-NTT propulsion and door chime, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, railfan window (lol), stainless steel.

    That's all I have... lol.

  2. Occupy Wall Street protestors have gone into the (2)(3) Wall Street station and are occupying the uptown track. What do you do?
Send some (3)s to South Ferry to not delay (1), short-turn most at Chambers St, (2) replaces the (3) in Brooklyn and runs via Lexington Ave Express in both directions.

There are stalled trains at Westchester Square, Parkchester (both downtown), and Whitlock Ave (uptown). What do you do?

  3. @IRTBronxExpress: He means the lower-level of Lex-59 on the (N)(Q)(R) to Times Square---so it does make sense. When I first read it, I thought he meant Lexington Av trains as well.
    Whoops.

Sometimes, I associate "Broadway" with the 7 Ave line. Hell, the (1)(2)(3) stop at Times Sq as well, so it kinda threw me off. B)

  4. Lexington Av-59 St to Times Square-42 St is flooded on the Broadway Line.

    What would you do?

    Lol, wut? ;)

Anyways, I'd end (4) at 149 St/Concourse, terminate the (5) at 59 St via local and terminate the (6) at 125 St.

    OR

Terminate all 7 Av/Broadway trains at 96 St. Why? There are no switches above 59 St/Columbus Circle.

  5.

The only way the (V) could come back now is if the (F) were to be made into a split service south of Jay St. Similar to the (Q)/<Q> service that ran on the Brighton Line from 2001 to 2004. But that won't happen because it would result in a loss of service to the busiest stations, which are the local stops between Jay and Church Ave.
Though this is irrelevant, 6th Ave was able to handle 3 express services prior to July 2001 with the (F) as the only local. (I think the (:( and (D) had reduced service because of the (Q6Av)... not sure.) Reducing both the (F) and (M) services in Manhattan to cram a possible (F) Brooklyn express wouldn't help Culver riders at all. Middle Village residents won't give up the (M) at all for obvious reasons.
  6. 3 signs were made today.

Very nice work!!! Just out of curiosity, what program do you use to make these? I have been learning how to make some .gif animated signs lately and I started using this program called "GIMP". Works pretty well.
Thanks, I use Paint to make the signs and JASC Animation Shop 3 to animate the Flipdot signs. iaza.com for other signs that require no scrolling animation.

  8. More routes.

Bx13 extension to Hunts Point: This route will follow the Bx6, but it travels via Hunts Point Ave, Randall Ave, Tiffany St, Viele Ave, Hallack St, loop around the market, and then continue to Hunts Point Ave towards Manhattan.

Bx37: This route travels between The Hub/E. 149 St and Pelham Manor/Ropes Ave via Boston Rd, Allerton Ave, White Plains Rd, E. Tremont Ave, Boston Rd (again, past West Farms), 3 Av to E. 161 St, and Melrose Ave.

Bx27/35 combined as the Bx45: Same route, no changes.

One question on the (5) announcements: which is the current/most recent announcement: "this is an Eastchester-bound 5 local train" or "this is an Eastchester/Dyre Avenue-bound 5 local train"?
I always heard the former during off-peak hours and the latter during rush hours. Feel free to correct me.

  11. Ok and someone told me you were the man for this job um im trying to my signature on my R142 train how can i do that. Cuz i want it to look like this <sign>. but it doesn't it only says Lexington Av EXP. If you know what i mean do you think you can help.

It won't animate because the signature size is really large and it exceeds signature limits. I'll see if I can redo it with the current template one day.

Ok thanks anyway and IRT Bronx Express told me to ask you that awhile back im just now getting to it.
Ya lol it was long ago in a PM when u gave me that sign here you go...

Me: Yes thank you and you wouldn't know how to put these on a train would you?

You: You're welcome, and unless you mean inserting them on Trainz Sim, you might want to ask Green Eggs 'N Pelham as I never used that program.

Really?:eek: I wonder what he meant. In your reply to this message, Strain, could you be more explicit in what exactly you want your sign to look like? If it's just one thing, I can do. If it's animating it to flip between 2 or 3 readings---I'm not that talented.....yet B):
Ok, I remember the conversation now.

Strain requested LED signs for the (4), (5), and (6) trains months ago. iinm, Coneyislandav7 made one or two, and I did the rest. Strain asked me if I knew how to insert the signs on Trainz Sim, so I answered no because I have yet to try out the software (or whatever it is, train simulator?) and I'm not too familiar with it.

Did I clear out the confusion? ;)
