  1. Well, now that I have a little bit of free time...

    • Bx1LCL/LTD/Bx2LCL--Implement Sunday Bx1 Limited-Stop Service for an All Day Limited-Stop Service (Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-8:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM-8:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM). Extend the Bx2LCL to Riverdale Av/W 231st St along with the Bx1LTD which will be making limited stops between Riverdale Av/W 231st St, and Grand Concourse/E 149th St. I don't know... isn't Concourse generally empty during Sundays? The Bx2 shouldn't be extended to Riverdale b/c the Bx1 runs local after Kingsbridge Hts. One bus is enough IMO.

    • *Bx4LCL/Bx24LTD--Extend the Bx4 service along with the Bx24 to/from Country Club. Replace Bx4A with restructured and extended Bx24 All Day Limited-Stop Service making Limited Stops between Country Club and Westchester Square, then between Parkchester and The Hub, plus local stops between Westchester Square and Parkchester via E Tremont, Castle Hill, and Metropolitan Avs. Like I said, they will object to frequent bus service. They don't deserve the Bx24 at all because there was this bus called the Bx14 and they made NO effort to prevent the TA from eliminating that route. Plus, if Parkchester wants Pelham Bay, they can transfer to the Bx24 at Westchester Sq.

    • Bx15LCL--Discontinue all service south of E 138th St to/from Manhattan all times except late nights (Monday-Friday 11:00 PM-6:00 AM, Saturday 11:00 PM-7:00 AM, and Sunday 11:00 PM-8:00 AM). See Bx55LTD for more details on this change-up routine.
    • Bx55LTD--Reinstate Late Evening and All Weekend Limited-Stop Service (Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-10:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM-10:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM-10:00 PM). This service will soon run between either Fordham Plaza or Williamsbridge-E Gun Hill/White Plains Roads, The Bronx and Manhattanvile, Manhattan all day replacing the Bx15LCL route. What difference will it make? If the Bx15 is screwed at 125 St, then how will the Bx55 be reliable there? However, I agree with a weekend restoration of the Bx55, but only Saturdays.

    • *Bx19LCL/Bx49LTD--Split service into 2 different routes, the original BX19LCL, and the newly-implemented All Weekday Only Limited-Stop Service (Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-8:00 PM (southbound), 7:00 AM-9:00 PM (northbound), the Bx49LTD. When Limited-Stop Buses are running, local Bx19 buses begins/ends at W 145th St/Malcolm X Blvd-Lenox Av. Bx49 buses will be making limited stops between NY Botanical Garden in The Bronx, and W 145th St/Malcolm X Blvd-Lenox Av, then runs local to/from Riverbank State Park in Harlem, Manhattan. It's not possible to run LTD service below the White Plains (2)(5) el, much like how the Bx4/4A can't run LTD at Westchester Av.

    • Bx26/Bx28LCL/Bx30--Reinstate service along their original pre-June 2010 routing following the Bx23. See Bx28LCL/Bx38LTD for more details on this change-up routine.
    • *Bx28LCL/Bx38LTD--Restructre Bx28LCL variant (the Bx38) into an All Day Limited-Stop Service (Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-8:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM-8:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM), making all limited stops between Co-Op City-Erskine Place Loop and Fordham Center-E 192nd St. Bx28LCL service will now begin/end at Fordham Center-E 192nd St at all times. This I agree, but would the Bx28 LTD bypass northern Co-op City or not (I'm a bit iffy about that too)? BTW, the original Bx30 route was restored awhile back.

    • *Bx36LCL/Bx46LTD--Split service into 2 different routes, one service will be the Bx36LCL and the other service will be the new Bx36 Limited-Stop variant, the Bx46LTD. The Bx46LTD will run along with the Bx36LCL All Weekday and Saturday only making all limited stops between W 181st St/Amsterdam Av, Manhattan and White Plains Road/Story Av, Bronx with some local stops made here and in Manhattan. I say no. A LTD bus runs like a local bus, and it needs to be axed, like NOW. As a frequent Bx36 rider since 2006, service was more reliable and consistent prior to September 2009.

    • Bx40LCL/Bx42LTD--Bx40 remains as All Time Local, restructure Bx42 into an All Day Limited-Stop Service (Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-10:00 PM, Saturday 6:30 AM-9:30 PM, and Sunday 7:00 AM-9:00 PM) along the whole route. Both buses are rerouted along
Schurz Av in both directions. Bx42LTD buses will follow the Bx40LCL making limited stops bewtween River Park Towers and Schurz Av. Bx42 service along Dewey, Balcom, and Randall Avs discontinued and replaced with exteded Bx31. I disagree. The Bx40 runs all times, and it deserves LTD service than the Bx42 since it bypasses the Throgs Neck houses. As the MTA stated at one point, if they couldn't extend the Bx31 to Parkchester via Metropolitan, then the Bx31 extension to Throgs Neck is less likely to happen.

    • Bx41LCL/LTD--Reinstate full service between Wakefileld-241st St and The Hub-E 149th St at all times. Restructure Weekday Rush Hour Limited-Stop Service into All Weekday Only (Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-8:00 PM) making all limited stops along the entire route in both directions. When Limited-Stop Buses are running, Bx41LCL buses will run between
Willamsbridge-E Gun Hill/White Plains Roads and The Hub-E 149th St. Bx39 buses will continue to serve Wakefield at all times except late nights. Too bad the TA couldn't think of this ... midday LTD service isn't needed since buses are sometimes empty.

  2.

But this is as if someone said, "I can't believe it, the (2)(3) makes one more stop in manhattan than it used to; from now on I'm taking the (1). (Just a hypothetical scenario.)
The point I'm trying to make is if the TA wants the (D) to stop at Yankee Stadium, they might as well force all (D)'s to run local in the Bronx and not "bypass" 155 St and 167 St. Didn't the (B) and (D) run local in 2004 when the Concourse express tracks were being repaired?
  3.

I assume that you're aware that the (4) is fully local in the Bronx, right?
I can forgive that since there's no Jerome Av express during the rush hours. Plus, the (5) is another option I have, and the ride today was really fast than the (4) from last week.
  4. A 93 on global eh? Good job! :) When I took that exam a few years back, I got a 83. History is my favorite subject as well.
I still remember that 81 I scored on the Global regents 4 years ago. I found it more interesting than US history, which I scored a 65.

I have to say this, despite my "so-called" English grammar being horrid, I scored an 85 on the English regents. I didn't do well for all English classes, yet I found it shocking that I'd score an 85...

  5. So I took the (D) Concourse Express to Norwood, and it turns out that all trains were stopping at 161 St... Why does the (D) have to stop there when the (B) trains are supposed to stop at all the local stops on the Concourse corridor? Really pointless. I'm lucky that this nonsense doesn't happen in the morning, but if it happens, I'll take the (5) instead.

  6. This is a tutorial on how you should request your sign, to make everyone's lives easier and simple. It is not my obligation to assume how you want your sign to look like. Unless you don't mind me choosing for you and not correcting it afterwards, then you must specify how you want your sign to look like.

I don't care if your requests include fictional routes, former *existing* routes ( (V)(W)), rerouted routes, planned routes ( (T)), etc. as long as it's not beyond foam ( (4) to Coney Island). I accept (J) to Coney Island, (C) via Culver, (Q) to Jamaica Center because it's possible in real life (it just won't happen, however). Please take a look here to see what signs are available for requests.

    Choosing the type of sign

Let's start with the LCD sign first. The bullets are just personal additions, but you can request the small LCD with no bullets if it merits you. Two color variants exist (original and gray), so you have variety. What's even better is that double letters/numbers are only possible for this exterior sign only!

Perhaps you don't like the outdated LCD signs... there's the mosaic and commuter LCDs. They look similar, but the letter designs are different! And no dots are used at all.

Maybe they don't appeal to you... but there's always the NTT LEDs and there are 4 variants! If you want to stick with realism, then request the original. If you like large sign readings, then the extended sign is for you. If you like bus signs so much, then you can request the modified LEDs, designed to look like flipdot and horizon signs (only luminator fonts will be used).

What about the interior signs? The int. LCD has two color variants (obvious). There are 2 int. LED signs: R142/A and R143/160. (obvious, and the letters are different) As an added bonus, double letters/numbers are possible for all interior signs!

I chose the sign type. Now what?

    You decide the sign reading.

    Exterior

    (D) Central Park West/6 Ave Express

    (D) 4 Ave Express/West End Local

    (D) To Coney Island - Stillwell Ave/Bklyn

Depending on the type of sign you choose, I might shorten the reading or split the readings in 2 different frames.

    EX: (A) Washington Hts

    (A) W. 168 St

You can choose Express/Local over EXP/LCL and vice versa. "Via/To", "ST/ND/RD/TH", and "BX/MANHTN/QNS/BKLYN" are personal aditions, so if you want them or not, just say it.

    (4) The next stop is

    (4) Wall St

    (4) 11:54 A.M. Jul 14, 2010

Same as above, long readings will be condensed or split in half. "Jul 14, 2010" is another addition, so you can pick the time, date, or both. Please limit the amount of frames to 8 as it's tedious to produce more than 8. Also, multi-colored signs are optional, so if you want to stick with the original colors as seen in real life, then that's not a problem.

I might edit later, but that's all for now. Questions, ask.

  7.

Don't give me that <_< crap.

    OHHH whatever!! <_<

    ... <_<

    Good comeback.
This is why I personally believe that both of you are brothers, if not, half brothers. ^_^ Both of you are criticizing each other with the power of words. :P
  8. I'm feeling a little bit mixed about iO now. The new Samsung HD digital box is a hell lot better than I thought. The HD channels are sharp-looking (little pixelation, but better than the Scientific HD box) and is on par with the HD DVR. Two issues; it freezes too much if i use the menu/options and it takes forever to change a channel. <_<

Also, all of a sudden, they started offering 3 new packages (just found out about it recently... lol): iO Economy, iO Value, and iO Preferred, while altering the iO Gold and Silver packages. My mom will downgrade to Economy b/c I don't give a hoot about most of the channels at all. That's a $20-25 difference, and it's worth it.

  9. Big thanks to those that are keeping this thread active. :)

Of course you can, why would you want to flood him they way that you flood the Bus thread?
Yep, it's going to remain that way until I finish revamping the Luminator fonts (check the Animated Luminator Signs thread for more info).

And to finish off, I produced this sign last night.

    Coming soon:

R142 Mosaic LCD (There are vast differences; it's more bigger from top to bottom, and the mosaic design isn't the same as the R142)

R142S Mosaic LCD (Fictional, based on the Commuter font)

Just a general note, double letters/numbers are NOT possible for R142A LCD and R143/160 LED signs, so don't bother requesting one. As for the new flipdot and horizon LED's, it was a last minute introduction (well, sort of). Requests are open, but only ONE.

  12. "Five times faster than Verizon's High Speed 3MBps internet."

Dumbasses at CV: Basic FiOS is 25/25. 25 MPBs is over 8 times as fast as what I can get... on a good day. The Optimum app is unstable and crashes half the time, the "original" channels suck, and Madison Square Garden's teams suck.

If I ever have to be around to watch them remove the boxes from my home, I'll just tell them "my parents can't afford it anymore."

It's the same shyt for Time Warner Cable as well.

The only pro I can think of for Optimum is their "exclusive" offers. All you have to do is spook them and they'll convince you to stay with their shytty service. The exclusive 2-year deal that my mom accepted expires this October, and instead of paying the regular price, $25 more is discounted from the monthly bill which is really neat imo.

Their commercials are awful to be honest... paid actors "claiming" that they're "in love" with Cablevision's "high quality" services... smh.
