  1. Rant time! There was a time when we boys had a choice to pick a locker for one entire semester, for phys ed at least. After the semester ended, we had to find another one for the next semester, and the following school year. That changed when i was a senior: we had to use any locker available for that particular day only. That meant, leave your stuff, they'll go in the trash. Leave your lock, it'll be clipped. Reason why it happened; horseshit fights in the boys locker room.
  2. Look at this website that I stumbled upon 5 years ago. You'll laugh at it and not hate it. Their website is pathetic. If Pokemon did promote "animal abuse", then the franchise would've died many years ago, and parents would've complained about it, which never happened. Too bad Pokemon remains popular (though not like before).
  3. Saw it yesterday on Cinemax, a true classic. It's a damn shame that Robocop 2 ruined the lead character. If anything, he was portrayed like a total dumbass.. Not to mention, the plot was extremely boring.
  4. Showtime and Starz/Encore, free for 1 year... why not HBO and Cinemax?

It looks like a modified iO Silver to me because I can access ch2-199, Showtime/Starz/Encore onDemand. Unfortunately, it excludes HBO, Sundance, & possibly Cloo. :/ It's fair game to me because it's worth 1/3 of the original price, w00t! Cablevision does care about their customers, lol.

HBO is $14.95: 7 channels, west feeds for HBO/2/Signature/Family... 11 channels total. Would've been nice if they had offered HBO/Max combined like Starz and Encore.

^ HBO should eliminate Latino because SAP exists for a reason (they and Max are the only ones to have CC3 Spanish!). And Encore Espanol is another copy of HBO Latino, ha ha.

oic, also true about the latino channels. lol, i mean really? I gotta scroll thru an extra few stations when there's the SAP button? smh

  5. Awesome, now I know how to obtain easy money from Mr Rich Guy. lol
  6. What's sad is that both Starz and Encore have a large number of subscribers, surpassing HBO (it was #1 at one point). Too bad that little are complaining about Starz's nonsense. I don't know about Epix, but i did read that they have a permanent Twitter bug for all of their programming. btw, Showtime advertises during movies and the ending credits, but it's only for the main flagship channel. The other multiplexes aren't affected. Stick with Cinemax!
  7. Wow, so much has changed with Starz and Encore after I last subscribed to their faux premium service last year. Starz, not much has changed. Same white logo, ad banners, same infobox that appears at the end of the film, but the ending credits with commercials has a new layout (now it's a split screen: commercial is on the top left, the ending credits is on the bottom right (both squared presentations), and the network logo is on the bottom left) Encore, encore, encore... WHY are you following the same damned footsteps like Starz??? The last time Encore screwed with the ending credits was around September 2009 (right after they axed the transparent logos in favor of the white logos). After watching a movie minutes ago on Encore HD, a split screen was shown. The same half-rectangular layout that was previously shown on Starz years ago. When I saw no logos, I thought they were coming to their senses... until I saw one. Same white logo, but they appear and disappear like the Starz logos. Cinemax (I still have it btw) is much superior than Starz and Encore combined. All of their channels are in HD, there are no intrusive logos and no commercial interruptions. Plus, their movie selections are much better. They may not have a lot of channels like Starz, but subscribing to their service is much worth it.
  8. Yep. Now here's a short rant: a passenger asks the B/O if the Bx41 goes to Wakefield... all I have to say is SMH...
  9. That wasn't the case for me this past Monday. One light was red, and once it turned green, the other lights didn't change!! Here's a bigger plus, I was on the Bx41 LTD when it happened.
  10. This morning, the last Concourse Exp ran local, stopping at 182-183 Sts before shifting onto the express tracks south of Tremont. Really neat catch.
  11. Edited movies are AWFUL. I'll stick with Cinemax, thank you very much.

I'm watching the Bride of Chucky in Spanish, and while it's not my favorite (neither the best), the edits are unbearable. At one point, the scene where Chucky writes "BITCH" in some spelling machine (or w/e that was), the word was blurred and the computer spelling the word was muted out. Now, the scene is outright removed. What the network forgot to edit was that brief nude scene, so I guess that's a plus (lol).

i saw die hard 2 on fx some years back and kick some heads, doesn't have the same ring as kick some ass or something like that. anything pg13 and below, i might watch, but if it was originally r, then i'd pass unless i really haven't seen it in a while.

  12. This week has been lucky for me. I encountered a NIS at 59 St/Columbus Circle NB, and it was an R160 (90XX). When I returned to the Bronx hours later, I saw that same set at 167 St SB. Today, I saw that set again at 155 St SB. And here's an interesting catch. While I was waiting for the at Columbus Circle NB, the arrived on the express track while the was on the local track. It ran Central Park West EXP to 145 St, and relayed on the downtown local track! But... before the entered 145, there was a that switched to the express track (switching to the local north of 135) and possibly ran Concourse Exp around noon.
  13. A few decent films airing on Cinemax and I won't be able to see them...

  14. 3rd Av is screwed.. 18 minutes for two Bx55 buses to come... one to Fordham and the other to Gun Hill... I wonder what was like when 3rd Av was one way years ago.
