Maybe I'll get the letter around May 1st. I started in March 2013 so if they only send out letters around that time, I understand why I didn't get one last May

Hmm, I had been off probation for 2 months before I called out and they still asked for my address. Also, I never got a letter saying I'm in the 70% but I did get a letter saying that since I only used 1 day of sick leave that I could cash out 8 hours if I wanted (which I didn't)

I was just talking to an older t/o in the crew room who said that nobody's really retiring because they can't afford to, and with all these classes there's like 100 people on the board every day doing nothing. But common wisdom on here says t/o's are leaving in droves and we're so short down here. So which is it???

It has taken effect, but the pass is only for those who live outside the 5 boroughs. Those of us who live in NYC don't get a pass

I believe you can save the penalty jobs as OTO when you're posting because you're only paid 8 hours until you fill out an exception form. I could be wrong though

No I didn't get to pick. I was scheduled to pick this morning but all the jobs were gone (which is probably a good thing)

The very first post in this thread says the majority of the new cars will be five car units. Doesn't that mean they'll go to the and not the ? Also, what was the problem with the 160s in the Rockaways and how was it fixed??? Operating the would be so much easier if it was new tech

The R211 will replace the R46 but that's a few years down the road. First, the R179s are going to replace the R32s and R42s

In the B division we take it about 1/3 into the station because the platforms are so long. 160s are the best, but the 46s aren't bad. I hate the 68s

maybe for fun they're cool but not when you have to make perfect station stops and if you're trying to get to the punch box and stop short the conductor opens up because the 32s have no door enablers! lol (yes, it happened to me)
