I need "receipts" cause I'm reading this http://mta.info/mta/news/books/docs/r_179_staff_summary_March_2012.pdf and it doesn't say nothing about most of the R179's being 4-car sets.

207th Yard can't maintain 75 footers. It's looks like the C would be gettin NTT's ultimately. the Q mind as well get R179s if this is for SAS expanision and the C get the Q's R160s. @ArtVandelay: Where does it say R179 would mostly be 4-car sets?

That freakin' better leave my R179s alone and stick w/ it's R160s. The can't always have the newest of everything. To keep the from having a bad grade, it'll be wise for them to get R211s and i need some closure to my curiosity here; the has better direct access to Pitken Yard then 207th Yard, but is based outta 207th. Someone elaborate?

After all 380 R142A's are converted to R142AM/R188's there would be only 220 R142As left in the system . I know it's tiring talking about assignments but IMO... Jerome and Westchester should both get the R62As. However the wants to make this happen, it doesn't make since for the to have a small percentage of its fleet to be NTTs vs. half R62A and NTTs #justmyopinion

wow... I feel bad I didn't even read your entire post. I know what rumor you're talking about, those Broadway local tracks were to go up Central Park West though. LGA to Rockaway Park line is worth the investment. It connects LGA and JFK. -

I know this is an fantasy map, but the (U) all runs via 2nd Ave (unless 2nd Ave has local, express and super express tracks) and the criss-crosses from express to local southbound, while the criss-crosses local to express southbound! -

That was a good read. I'm proud of the construction president for not sugar-coating the reality of SAS. I wouldn't be surprised if the get R179s being the lines run new tech cars so it would make sense and the Jamaica line would be full of new techs also. But the has the R211s to look to at least

I've also thought about how SAS should go to Dyre Ave so the WPR line could run more trains and the would have Bronx express and local service plus relieving the Lexington Line but phase 4 is years and years away . But until phase 3 is here, I'm not a favor of Broadways criss-crossing but I don't ride on the Broadway so i'm fine The drama queen is at it again ROTFL!!!

B'way EXP - 96th St to Gravesend 86th and Bay Parkway (rush hours). Not running late nights B'way EXP - 96th St to Coney Island, via Brighton B'way Local - Forest Hills to Bay Ridge. Late nights 36th St to Bay Ridge B'way Local - Astoria to Coney Island, via Seach Beach. What I don't like about this is it's probably expensive to operate but I'm tryna eliminate the criss-cross. Wouldn't the criss-crossing local express tracks at 34th delay service? What amazes me is it's like that cause of Astora's demands!

Let's stay on topic! The Rockaway Branch and has nothing to do w/ whats going on on 2nd Ave. The only reason why I mention Astoria and the Broadway line is the for SAS phase 2 should go to 125th St and it'll take way Astoria's local and express service. SMH.. Your remarks and comments is only hurting your self-image and not Wallyhorse. Don't forget... You used to purpose the same crazy interesting ideas on your first go round B)

Until the comes, I'm support/with any idea that doesn't involve the Broadway lines criss-crossing from local to express tracks vice versa cause that is unhealthy #realtalk.

The cut and cover would rip apart 2nd Ave and really hurt businesses and piss off residents... well tunnel bore sorta does the same thing (correct me if i'm wrong).

When I first heard the were to have R142s originally I was shocked. I thought they changed the plan cause they didn't want new-tech trains running through East New York but then I had to remember that the had their share of getting fresh new trains when R62A's debuted.
