  1. That sounds like a plan and the is back. The problem with constructing projects like this is it's too freakin expensive but I feel as if interest rate in the United States is too high and the missing deadlines on projects. Some care to elaborate SAS would continue into the Bronx along 3rd Ave stopping at 149th St 161st St 168th St Claremont Pkwy E 180th St Fordham At Tremont Ave, 3rd Ave line splits into two. the to Fordham and the continue down Tremont Ave connecting at E 180th St up the Dyre Ave Line with two new stations. Cortona Pkwy E 180th (underground)
  2. Which goes to my next point... The Bronx 3rd Ave Line has 2 branches. Dyre-Tremont and the to Fordham The IRT Brooklyn express tracks extended from Utica Ave to Broadway Junction terminating the there The runs from LaGuardia to Flatlands Ave; the is expanded to Flatlands Ave as well. With this the Livonia Yard optionally is expanded The runs local/express in the Bronx The or is extended to Bay Plaza
  3. Under the LIRR or even half and half (one track above ground and the other underground). Speaking of relieving the in Astoria I thought of re-routing the through Astoria to LaGuardia via a new line branching off Lexington Ave at 96th St and onto Astoria Blvd How you propose that?
  4. There's nothin wrong with Queens Blvd It just needs a super express line to compliment it so that'll increase capacity for a future SAS service, allow room for a Far Rockaway service and more trains on Queens Blvd. It was supposed to be built at 76th St and Pitkin Ave
  5. Why move the museum? I cost a lot to build a tunnel plus Montague St Tunnel is underutilized. Proposal Montague and Fulton local tracks can be tied via new tracks built between DeKalb Junction and Lafayette Ave. This opens up for a from Astoria to Euclid Ave at all times. Speaking of DeKalb Junction, to minimize interlocking and maximize efficiency why can't the go down 4th Ave while the go down Brighton.
  6. It's not a wet blanket or anything but i'm positive most of everybody on here is brainstorming proposals for fun of the imagination to go wild but it's good to hear constructive input
  7. I saw somewhere it was supposed to connect with the Queens Blvd local tracks between Forest Hills and 75th St but there wasn't a Forest Hills station planned for the super express line.
  8. Subway are expense to build this modern day present smh... I propose switching the local/express setup after Broadway-Lafeyette St southbound with the express tracks redirected down Culver and the redirected to the Manhattan Bridge replacing the in Brooklyn/West End Line
  9. Well 96th St station on Lexington and Second Ave are 2 long blocks apart and any new subway service on the East Side really helps vs. just the Lexington just servicing the east side alone. It's impossible for the to terminate at 96th since it's gonna be a two track through station like 72nd and 86th St stations.
  10. First.. isn't it possible for 3 subway services to run on a two track trunk line? If so that's great cause in this case it's the running up Second Ave. the to 125th St, the to Fordham via 3rd Ave and the to Dyre Ave via 3rd and Tremont Ave
  11. I'd just wish/hope Phases III and IV aren't designed like a half ass job like I and II are destined to be. You know two track with CBTC but it is what it is.
  12. Much money as the makes it's dissapointing they're not able to expand the subway system as fast as the city is growing. Is there something I'm missing. Credit issues, Debt, etc.
  13. I know!!..... so it's almost as if there's zero chance of 1. connecting Dyre Ave with the Pelham which would.. 2. Allow the to run Bronx Express trains since it wouldn't have to share WPR with the anymore Wasnt' there a previous plan about this though.
  14. I mean if anything the Dyre Ave Line is the easiest to convert to B Division standards
  15. I don't see why they would need to swap the and fleets imo. What I could see happening is the swapping its remaining R142as for the r142s so all the r142as can be together on the but let see what awaits my surprise
  16. Yeah the would solely have to operate down 59th St and Broadway local to keep the same headways down Flushing as the correct me if i'm wrong. But is it me or the Broadway Line lacks northbound outflow; it's just the soon to be up Second Ave (TBH the up 2nd Ave makes sense) and the up 59th St. After 57th St 1) the local tracks tie in with CPW local or express tracks but of course the wouldn't run up CPW anymore or 2) connect the Broadway local tracks with the express tracks up Second Ave.. but that's if SAS Phase 3 and 4 isn't built
  17. That's what the is for but i see where you coming from I knew there had to be some realistic values to this. I'll scrap that all together, I'm thinking of something else
  18. I guess my imagination can go wild since this is only a proposal Convert the Flushing Line from Queensboro Plaza to Flushing back to the B division and have the run from Flushing to Bay Ridge-95th St and convert the Flushing Line from Hudson Yards to Queensboro Plaza to the PATH via a new PATH line. No more train unfortunately but this free's up space for another QBL service like the or a future Second Ave Line, the would have a AM/PM rush hour express <R> Flushing service, and there's a one seat ride to Penn Station, GCT and to Queens for Jersey riders/commuters.
  19. 2-tracked isn't gonna cut it SMH!!! at least make provisions to build express tracks under the local tracks. Making the SAS 4-tracked (phase 1 and 2) not only increases capacity on 2nd Ave but also the Broadway Line finally sending the up to UES and the Bronx w/ the
  20. Yeah!!! It looks as the is getting NTT's "a cry of joy"
  21. Everything happens for a reason When I said and done SAS should have two services. The Bronx-Coney Island and the other SAS route from Queens to Lower Manhattan (for the other SAS route to happen, Queens Blvd needs to increase it's capacity super-express or not) almost complimenting the .
  22. It was unused, it was built i think in 1968
  23. It'll be nice if the and the rest of the country had good, then it wouldn't be a problem building subway expansion projects like this #justsayin. After Houston St, for a start should go to Lower Manhattan as a sole east side line to relieve the Lexington completely and along 3rd Av to Concourse Yard. So far as Culver express, that's an whole another issue.
  24. The whole Lexington Line is thee most used line in the system (point blank). shares w/ the so the busy lines are the only options. Plus the R62A's aren't that bad I can only imagine what it's like when it finished SMS.
  25. It was only yesterday that i'll have a fit about where trains go. I ride around in an Honda now so I don't nearly give a flying flip around train assignments as much. The only say I have is "IF" all R62A's go to the then w/ just 60-70 R142A's I only see them being used as spares or put-ins for rush-hours.
