  1. I got an M3 out of Penn for the first time in almost a decade, and this time I actually remember what I rode. For whatever reason, after Woodside, all the signals were either Caution or Stop and Proceed and it seemed to take half an hour to get to Jamaica. The engineer got impatient after two minutes at Jamaica because there was only one conductor collecting fares and he kept looking back for her for a good three minutes. He also kept his door open most of the ride. And when I was on the PATH back to Manhattan, the conductor apparently hated the "Stand clear of the closing doors" announcement (which I do as well) and kept skipping over it, or even skipping announcements altogether if no one was on the platform.
  2. I went out to buy some clothes and I watched as at least two different buses to Green Acres (NGs on the Q5 and 85) leave before I even get to Archer avenue. When I came back up from Jamaica Center after refilling my MC, I had to wait 15 minutes for a bus to GA. I didn't know the 85's route to GA was no less than 15 minutes longer than the Q5's, so I was in for a bit of a lengthy ride. At least it was in an RTS.
  3. I keep forgetting that my light fixture has two bulbs but only one works about 90% of the time. That other 10% is late at night when I don't necessarily need the light...
  4. Okay, I'm going to need a new hard drive before the end of the summer with all of this stuff that I legally acquired over the past day and a half. Billboard Top 100 from 1980 all the way to 1999 = 1,980 songs. Of course, I scoured the late '90s folders and deleted any mention of any boy bands and any songs I already had. I had an older cousin who loved them, too, and it annoyed me whenever the family went to her mom's house and she just had their posters all over the wall.
  5. I finished all of them before 11:15 AM and now I can't get the stupid-ass piece of plastic actually blocking the slot off.
  6. I've been wondering where people get those Tootsie Roll containers you can use as a coin jar. I've already gone through most of the candy, though.
  7. I watched the Japanese version of one of the movies (that one with Latias and Latios or whatever) and the dialogue remained virtually the same, but it somehow seemed better.
  8. Nowhere near as funny as someone sticking "wet" over the "Es-" in "Essex" or putting "Sex" instead of paint on the "Wet Paint" signs. The Facebook page that I saw it on is long gone, though....
  9. I remember back in '05, the last year for half decent radio "contemporary" music, KTU was still playing old-school stuff and this cool cover of Madonna's Like a Prayer kept playing, but then it went to reggaeton (can't stand it at all), and then crappy modern music. An old HS friend's dad was a sound engineer for KTU back in the '80s, but he told me they treated his dad like dirt, so he quit. He did learn about some sound engineering like when you could tell if a system had too much bass or treble, and what hi, mid, and low were in sound tech.
  10. Music today is seriously utter shit. I get into dance music stations because at least back in 2005 it still sounded good and they played '80s and '90s stuff occasionally, but now they spew the same crap. It's awful.
  11. My mind has been blown and I cannot unhear the similarity between that fish and Plankton...
  12. I love old-school SpongeBob. The movie was okay, but after that, Stephen Hillenberg, the show's original creator, left and Derek Drymon (nice name) has taken over... dear God, is he horrible.
  13. Maybe the or something, because just having it in the middle of Jamaica like that is wrong.
  14. Haha, "Joe Bananas." Wonder how many times he was called that.
  15. Even the Second System was supposed to be mostly els...
  16. And Andretti himself was Italian (before they annexed his hometown to Croatia...) but then became a naturalized citizen. The only thing I agree with is that people that drive SUVs/pickups and do not need to haul cargo around are dysfunctional in a certain area.
  17. I have a feeling no one knew about Mario Andretti before Cars. Or that Michael Schumacher, a German who drove for Ferrari, voiced that Ferrari towards the end. Hell, I'm tired of American car culture. It's so awful.
  18. My dog got scared being so close to the fireworks near my uncle's house, we had to bring her home. I was walking back with my sister to my uncle's house after my parents brought the dog home, and everyone was all over peoples' lawns, but being that there was nothing at Jones Beach, everyone decided to head up to the towns for their fireworks. VS has held it at Firemen's Field for decades, and people don't mind having others on their lawns. I kept walking up the sidewalk trying to avoid crowds, but a piece of sidewalk from some assbite's house to the utility pole was blocked, so I cut across his lawn. Said (drunk) assbite whose lawn I just took a few steps across yells at me, "Hey, private property!" I yelled back, "Come and ****ing stop me, then" and he backed off. He sounded piss drunk and had an almost completely full can of beer (Heineken?) and I just did my "Haters gonna hate" stride across his lawn. Seriously, everyone else around that part of VS has people crawling all over others' lawns and one ass has to ruin it for me. To the drunk assbite: Come at me, bro.
  19. The last time it rained during a 4th of July in VS, I was still about 10 or 11...
  20. Try nothing but Orion Vs and Orion VII CNGs with nothing older around. At least some RTS buses remain in Manhattan.
  21. Lucky you, except for my stellar 95 in the English and 97 in US, my junior year Regents grades blew ass. I want to beat the assbite that decided "I'm so smart, I'm going to ruin it for everyone else and make the grades curve negatively."
  22. Mind you, we're talking about NYCT'S actual names for each route, not some made-up fantasy girl names...
