Except for the N20/21, service was never suspended. Full service is running now with delays which get greater the further north you go.

Yeah, there are delays on routes in and out of Great Neck. We got a good amount of snow up here on the North Shore.

I didn't know sanitation invested in hybrid garbage trucks.

 

I was at work earlier and one of the drivers came in for some coffee. I looked out the window after he left and I saw the LED lights on the corners of it. I didn't think nothing of it since the newer ones have them anyway. Then I looked at the letters and it was XE, and it said hybrid on the side of it.

Any reason why?

1808 looks like it's finally ready to go back to Nassau, it just need a driver (something I heard that NICE is short of at the moment).

I think its still at Grand Avenue Maintenance Facility. I can't imagine it going anywhere else in the .

But where are the deadheads going? It may be cheaper to deadhead to Hempstead or Hicksville and run in service to Jamaica compared to pulling a bus out of MF.

 

Run 501 out of Yonkers Depot makes a trip on BxM11 from 241 Street and White Plains Road to Manhattan, followed by deadheading back to 241 Street and White Plains Road and making another trip on the BxM11. Could Yonkers send a bus to 241 Street instead of the deadhead?Sure. But is there enough work to pull a bus out for one trip?

I don't where the deadheads I see are going, all I know is that they're coming from Flushing and going into Nassau on the LIE.

My brother had the Blackberry storm, and hated it because the touchscreen calibration wasn't that good. My mom has gone through several Blackberries in the past few years and she thinks they're alright but not the greatest phones. Personally, I would like to see how the App Store turns out in a couple of months after this phone has been on the market for some time. I want to see what developers are attracted to the Blackberry API and if anything really good comes exclusive to them.

The deadheads from Jamaica OOS are such as a waste. Speaking of which, I've been seeing a lot of deadheads from Flushing out to Nassau recently.

Then 13:00 n17 Hempstead from Rockville Cetre to n6 Jamaica at 14:00, after meal break.

For new 40' buses, I don't think there is any recommended award or public bids placed yet.

What does the last n73 to Wantagh on weekday interline from. The last n73 to Hicksville turns into a n74 at Hicksville, when the last n73 bus leaves Hicksville 40 minutes later after the n74 leaves.

Purely by looking at the schedule I would guess the n79.

According to Hopstop, I got that the last n73 to Wantagh (8:10 pm) interlines from the 7:30 pm N80 Hicksville-bound bus. Very interesting.

The n54/n55 interlines with the n15?  Hopstop thinks it does...

Interesting, I wonder where they got that information. It is certainly possible since the n15 Long Beach service starts at Hempstead at that time of the morning.

I gather the new signs would look like the new NICE ones that are up at Walt Whitman Mall already, right?

Those things are gas guzzlers, and NICE gets them. Unbelievable, throwing money away. Why do they need 4x4 6 cylinders specifically anyway?

Uhm, why should NICE spend money on their website? Their website is created by Veolia Europe aka Transdev so plenty of money in the bucket.

I really don't care where the money comes from, but a working website with working notifications would be NICE.
