  1. Wow, you guys are getting on my ass for calling something a new number, for a LONG TERM advisory. Not to mention neither of those follow any of today's service patterns, so naming it (2)(3)(4)(5) is out of the question.

Maybe an (S) was more suitable for the situation. But I see your logic.

  2. NEXT

Due to a reconstruction project, the both Manhattan-bound tracks are impassable at Hoyt St (2)(3). Because this is a long-term change, the Brooklyn-bound express track has been reverse-signalled between Atlantic Av and Borough Hall.

Reroute: (2)(3)(4)(5), provide alternative service on other lines

    Duration: 5 years

    (B) Bedford Park Blvd to Coney Island (Grand CC/CPW Local/6 Av/Viaduct/PS/Culver Express)

    (J) Jamaica Ctr to Brighton Beach (Nassau St/Brighton Express)

    (2) 241 St to Flatbush Av (Lexington Av Express/WPR/EP Local)

    (3) Wall St to 148 St (7 Av Express)

    (4) Woodlawn to New Lots Av (Jerome Av/EP Local/Lexington Av Express)

    (5) Dyre Av to Bowling Green (WPR Express/Lexington Av Local)

    NOTE

    (3) [sOUTHBOUND SELECT] Trains may go to Borough Hall

<5> [RUSH HOUR SELECT] Trains may go to Flatbush Av/New Lots Av

  3. (B) 125 St to Brighton Beach (CPW Local/6 Av/Brighton Express)

    (C) No Service

    (D) 125 St to Coney Island (CPW/6 Av/4 Av Express/West End Local)

    (S) 161 St to 205 St (Grand CC Local)

    NOTE

    (A) Trains run via UWS/CPW/8 Av/Fulton Local between 168 St and Euclid Av

    (D) [NORTHBOUND SELECT] Trains may run via UWS Express to 168 St

Mud, Wrestle. That R32. Enough said.

From what I see, it looks like nyctrman has made every sign for the R160. Even the (S) to Lefferts Blvd.

Mr Railfan with some more news on the (N).

I agree. I grew up taking the N express in Manhattan. If you want to catch an N via Broadway express , then i suggest catching one of the Rush hour trains. They usually have 3-4 N trains that run to 42 or 57 via Broadway express . Luckily the current version of the N i'm working on is Sea beach lcl / 4 ave Exp / B'way Exp / Astoria lcl.

There is a plan to make it go fully local in brooklyn and manhattan and fully express in brooklyn and in queens, so expect that for the final release of the N.

  5. (2): Via Eastern Parkway Express & Lexington Avenue, northbound. Via 7th Avenue and Express southbound.

(3): Terminates at Rector Street, looping at City Hall loop.

(4): Normal service, extended to New Lots Avenue.

(5): Terminates at Bowling Green, with some trains running to Utica Avenue.

Which is pretty much exactly what I put. Notice I said pretty much, not completely.

    NEXT

Due to power problems, both 53 St and 63 St are unusable.

  6. NEXT:

    Another complicated switching problem:

This time, it's between Franklin Avenue & Nevins Street.

    Northbound:

New Lots Avenue Local --> Eastern Pkway Exp --> 7th Avenue

New Lots Avenue Express --> Eastern Pkway Exp --> 7th Avenue

Flatbush Avenue --> Eastern Pkway Exp --> Lex Avenue

    Southbound:

All trains must go via Eastern Parkway Express after Atlantic Avenue.

    Reroute (2), (3), (4), and (5).

    Night Service.

    NOTE

    (2) Trains run via EP Express between Atlantic Av and Franklin Av

  7. "The (D) and (N) tracks are set to the Brighton line."

That makes no sense because those tracks don't connect. That's like saying that the 60th Street tunnel tracks are set for 6th Avenue; there isn't any connection.

Just drop it, some people find it hard to understand as witnessed.

    NEXT

An (F) train derails between 2 Av and Broadway Lafayette.

  8. You said that the (D)(N)must use Brighton...

In that case, (D) via express, (N) via local. (Q) runs via the normal (N) route in Brooklyn and (B) runs via the normal (D) route in Brooklyn.

Your "scenario" makes no sense whatsoever.

I guess I dod not make myself clear enough. The (D) and (N)tracks are set to the Brighton line.

Quill Depot had the best answer.

  9. You're supposed to give a scenario about which stations are closed. You provided a solution; what am I supposed to respond with to this?

How on Earth is this a solution?

I am pretty sure it was you who said something about the switches on the CPW Local being in favor of the Concourse, the Express to UWS.

How to solve it? Use your brain.
