Due to a rail condition at 36 St (Qns), the following service changes are in effect:

Northbound  trains are running local from Queens Plaza to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Some northbound  trains are running on the  line from 42 St-Port Authority to 168 St.

Northbound  trains are running local from 36 St (Qns) to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Some 71 Av-bound  trains are running on the  line from Delancey St-Essex St to Chambers St and terminate.

Some northbound  trains terminate at 57 St-7 Av.

Allow additional travel time.

Next up:

 

Staying on Queens Boulevard, a broken rail on the north/eastbound track just past the exit of the former 23rd-Ely (now Court Square) station only allows trains FROM the QB line to come in (coming from Manhattan, trains either have to use the south/westbound track between Court Square and Queens Boulevard and go back to the eastbound track OR terminate at Court Square).  At the same time, the connections to Jamaica Yard are such that no trains can terminate at 71st-Continental (trains can stop there but MUST continue on to another spot to terminate). 

 

My bad on back-to-back posts, I had intended to delete this one and add it to the prior post.

: Northbound trains run via 6th Avenue Local-53rd Street. LIMITED trains and trains already on 53rd Street run single-track between Court Square and Queens Plaza.

: Via Nassau Street to Chambers Street. If trains are already on 6th Avenue/53rd Street, follow pattern.

: Extended to 179th Street or Jamaica Center.

The switches leading from the 53rd and 60th Street lines into the Queens Plaza station have completely died and no trains can use them for several weeks while repairs are made.  The only trains that can access Queens Plaza from south of there (and can go through in both directions) are trains coming from the Court Square station (the switches north/east of Queens Plaza are unaffected as are trains coming from 63rd Street that skip Queens Plaza altogether).

: No service b/w Court Square and Jamaica Center. Transfer at Court Square for Queens service.

: Unaffected. Expect delays on 63rd Street.

: Extended to Jamaica Center via Queens Blvd Express. Transfer at Court Square for service. Temporarily uses 10-car trains.

Shuttle buses run between 21st Street-Queensbridge, Court Square, and Queens Plaza.

Hey, sort of makes sense, since the is basically a copy of the if it goes via 6th Avenue during several weeks, and causes delays at West 4th Street and on 63rd St/6th Av. If you extend the , there's no delays since the is alone in that switch section and riders will crowd in one area.

DailyDose, that's probably a rerouted or something else, because its TEN cars, and Jamaica doesn't give 10 car trains, only eight car.

The change was gone for like an hour before the trains started running local. They have to if coming from Rutgers Street, but why would they be Fulton and CPW Local?

Due to FDNY activity at Chambers St, the following service changes are in effect:

 trains are running on the  line from Jay St- MetroTech to W 4 St-Washington Square in both directions.

 trains are running on the  line from W 4 St- Washington Square to 59 St-Columbus Circle in both directions.  

Southbound  trains are running on the  line to World Trade Center. 

Northbound  train service has been suspended.

Allow additional travel time.

I grabbed an R160 Express at Canal St, but then it changed into an Express, terminating at Euclid. It was Foam City.

Wait wut? Is there an announcement/program for that? Plus why would a change to an ? I thought it would terminate at World Trade Center or change to an .

Due to speedy Chinatown Bus hit the crash into pole that supports 74th St-Broadway Station collasped, and also causing cave in to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av. Affects trains, along with buses, Q32, Q33, Q47, Q49, Q53, Q70 buses, etc.

can't pass these stations.

All streets surrendered by 69th St, 37th Av, 76th St, Woodside Av are closed and BQE Northbound closed from Queens Blvd/69th St to BQE Exit 40-37th Av.

Please note freight train cannot cross near 74th St-Broadway/Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av Station.

All due to an investigation at 34th Street-Herald Square.

Well, the was supposed to go down Merrick since the curved rails are there, leading to LIRR tracks, and the to Springfield (or further) since there's a large median there and sidewalk grates.

Next, an electrical failure shuts down power at the 59th St-Lex Ave Station.

NEXT:

Power problems on the Saturday evening following The Belmont Stakes (around 7:00 PM or so, right after The Belmont Stakes itself) leaves the LIRR with no service between Jamaica and Woodside, though the subways are unaffected.  Keep in mind, you are going to be dealing with a large chunk of the 140,000+ expected to be at Belmont Park for the Belmont Stakes and you have to get many of them between Jamaica Station and Manhattan in some way!

LIRR shuttles are provided.

LCL: Jamaica Station, Kew Gardens Station, Forest Hills Station, Woodside Station, Penn Station

EXP: Jamaica Station, Woodside Station (unless there's no Port Washington Branch), Penn Station

Due to a train with mechanical problems at Newkirk Av, there is no  train service between Franklin Av and Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College in both directions.

Some southbound  trains are running on the  line from Franklin Av to Utica Av.

Some southbound  trains are running on the  line from Franklin Av to New Lots Av.

As an alternative customers are advised to use the B44 bus.

Due to track debris at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, northbound  trains are running express from 36 St (BKLYN) to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

Customers are advised to transfer to a southbound  train at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, making all missed station stops.

Why would you want to cut out Select Bus Service???

Also random idea but maybe incorporate M12 service to an M31 or former-M104 type of service and extend it via 14th Street (to somewhere; Union Square maybe?) instead of Abingdon Square.
