Because of weekend construction, the  (1) is suspended between 96 Street and 168 Street, the  (3) cannot use 145 Street and 148 Street to terminate, Grand Street  (D) needs to be rehabilitated, suspending the  (D) between 34 Street and Atlantic Avenue, all uptown  (N) and  (R) trains have to use the express tracks and Manhattan bridge from 36 Street to Canal Street, and both Queens Plaza and Queensboro Plaza are getting rehabilitated, which means no  (N) service in Queens, no  (7) in Manhattan, and the  (E) and  (R) lines have to be rerouted on the 63 Street line.

Reroute or suspend the affected lines.

You basically just solved your own problem didn't you?

Just terminate the (7) at 74th Street, and terminate the  (3) at 135th Street, & have it run NIS onto the White Plains middle track to layup.

How would the hijacked train even get anywhere if the tower controls all the home signals?

  7. Somethings got me thinking to.

In case anything were to happen to Brooklyn Bridge - City Hall on the Lexingiton Line, like the roof has fallen onto the platform, but the tracks remain in use. how would the (6) terminate? I know Bowling Green might seem like a good terminal, but what if the MTA were to reopen City Hall Loop, just as they did with the South Ferry Loop on the (1). They could get gap fillers, and restore the station. What do you think?

If the roof has fallen to the platform, then I think the WHOLE STATION would be closed, because potentially the whole station could come smashing down.

As for City Hall Loop, I don't think it's needed. The reason it was shut down because of low ridership, and the Brooklyn Bridge station is a short walk away. Also the money and effort needed to restore that station wouldn't be worth it.

  8. A freakish storm has blasted NYC with powerful winds and flooding. After the aftermath, here are the areas affected.

The Rockaways are completley flooded between Beach 60th St and Far Rockaway. Rockaway Park is completeley destroyed.

In Midtown Manhattan, there is a massive power black out south of Times Sqaure 42 St.

In The Bronx, the Broadway Bridge that the (1) uses is destroyed.

In the Bronx, 149 St is also flooded.

In Brooklyn, Coney Island is severley flooded.

In Queens, the structure that holds the tracks up on the (N) train is destroyed between 39 Ave and Astoria Blvd.

This is my proposal for Rockefeller Center. It makes it easier for local and express. Comment on it.

Delays, delays, and even more delays. How does it make it easier for local and express? Those switches are never used anyway; might as well leave them as is.

btw the shuttle platform at Bowling Green is shorter than the regular station length, and it is abandoned. That's the point of the (5) going there; to turn around in the other direction.

  10. Im not sure who goes next, but I would like to try one!

Due to a derailment in Times Square 42 St, the whole structure of the station is unstable and unsafe for any use. This includes 5th Ave as the derailment occured between the station and the tunnel, also causing thr tunnle to be unstable. Reroute or Suspened (1)(2)(3)(7)(N)(Q)(R)(S).

(Also note, this is post 2015, where the 34 St- Hudson Yard is open on the (7) Line)

  12. Alright, a suspicious backpack was found in the morning rush hour in front of the New York Stock Exchange. Because of that, the area south of Fulton Street is restricted. This causes service changes for the (1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(J)(R) and (Z) lines, as well as the Staten Island Ferry. It's up to you how these service changes look like.

(A): Via 8th Avenue Local south of 59th Street - Rutgers Street.

  14. Anywho...due to a power outage between W4 upper level and Canal in both directions, there's no through service around the aforementioned area.

In addition, due to a switch problem at 5 Av-53 St, there's also no direct service to/from 6th Avenue.

Due to an NYPD investigation of a customer injury at Longwood Av, the following service changes are in effect:

There is no 6.png train service between Parkchester and 3 Av-138 St in both directions.

5.png trains are running local between Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and 125 St in both directions.

    Allow additional travel time.

Oh my they chose the (5) to run local rather than the (4).
  16. Next one...

Roosevelt Island suffers a total loss of power (who cares how, it just happened). This will last 2 days.

  17. Service Change  Posted: 09/16/2014  5:17PM

Due to a train with mechanical problems at 116 St, southbound b.png and c.png trains are running express from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle.

    Allow additional travel time.

Well at least most CPW stations are connected in both directions. I feel bad for people at 110th Street and 116th Street.
  18. Heres a good scenario: Due to the ongoing Fix and Fortify program the Cranberry Street tubes on the A and C are shut down completely for the next 12 months. On top of that the Manhattan Bridge is closed on weekends on the south side of the bridge due to planned GOs due to signal upgrades (BMT Broadway Line) . The Chrystie Street connection to the IND 6th Avenue Line however stays open. How should we provide alternate service on all lines affected by the shutdown?

    High St to Euclid Av
