Saw M42s making left turns on 11th and right turns at 41st Street heading towards the Hudson. Something happen around the area?

Oh wow. I was on the train today and I thought I saw that trains were running local, but then I see one fly pass by on express and was like, da fuq.

Remember the still stops at 50th Street, lol.

People will get mad that they will have to get off and transfer to the , because they are losing their express train into Brooklyn/Manhattan.

Just randomly on the 6th Avenue Line today and saw rerouted downtown trains. What a coincidence.

So I know that the local tracks were supposed to go over the George Washington Bridge to New Jersey, but to where in it?

I have this one by a long shot:

Extend the to LGA.

Okay. The and the sound like reasonable routes to extend to the airport. But the ? How would you "extend" the to the airport? Heck, the airport doesn't need that much service in general. If anything, the should be extended eastward to help out with those very overcrowded bus services that run along it.

lol they probably meant from Atlantic Avenue, and misnamed everything like they usually do.

The question is: is it actually needed? People always say there should be express service where there are express tracks, but it's about whether ridership shows that it is necessary.

The went via 8th Avenue Local today. I was on one, going southbound this morning. I think it was because of a rail condition at 34th St on the express track, because at 42/8, I heard that "after an earlier incident, there is southbound and train service."

Not the best day for and trains, huh.

Due to a rail condition at W 4 St-Washington Sq, the following service changes are in effect:

Northbound  and  trains local from W 4 St-Washington Sq to 34 St-Herald Sq. 

71 Av bound  trains terminate at Delancey St-Essex St or Chambers St.

Some northbound  trains are running on the  line from Bergen St to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Following an earlier incident at Ocean Pkwy,  and  train service has resumed with residual delays. 

Maybe an extension of the ? Then again, the is already long enough...

That line would definitely be used, if it runs on Fordham Road & Pelham Parkway. The stations you planned wouldn't necessarily be used as a subway line..not to mention how zig-zagged it is.

Due to FDNY activity at Rockaway Blvd, the following service changes are in effect:

There is no  train service between Euclid Av and Far Rockaway-Mott Av in both directions.

There is no  train service between Euclid Av and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd in both directions.

Forest Hill-bound  and  train express from Queens Plaza to Jackson Av-Roosevelt Av.

Northbound , ,  and  trains are running with delays.

Two separate sinkholes have developed near the 125th Street fault line in upper Manhattan:

 

One between St. Nicholas and Lenox Avenues.

 

One between Lexington and 3rd Avenue.

 

The only subway line that far north unaffected by this is the line (as it's elevated on 125) and Metro-North is also unaffected by this (as its also elevated).

 

This will take a few days to fix.  Reroute/suspend/cross-honor as needed.

A small earthquake (and they do happen up here, even if rarely) catches the MTA off-guard and splashes a bit of water over the city. Coney Island yard and most of the Sea Beach line (up to New Utrecht Avenue) is out of service. Water pushed up the Hudson and East rivers causes minor flooding in the east river tubes south of the bridge crossings.

 

Armed robbers, taking advantage of the panic cause chaos in small pockets of the system with possible deaths/injuries requiring police activity at:

• 207 Street uptown platform
• 170 Street southbound platform
• Chambers Street to Canal Street A man with a paper bag over his head fled into the tunnel after a successful robbery.
• Sutter Avenue tracks An assailant appears to have been chased by his potential victim into the tracks and electrocuted to death.
• DeKalb Avenue Manhattan-bound platform

Due to a police investigation of a customer injury at Canal St, the following service changes are in effect:

There is no southbound N , Q or R train service between Dekalb Av and Canal St.

N , Q and R trains are running with delays in both directions.

Southbound R trains are running on the F line from 36 St (QNS) to W 4 St-Washington Sq.

Southbound R trains are running on the D line from W 4 St Washington Sq to DeKalb Av.

A sinkhole has occurred at Times Square 42 St, and a bus has fell into the station. Another sinkhole has occurred at 59 Street Columbus Circle. All the tracks at the station are out of service.
