Bus to JFK

A lady in the train asked how to get to JFK on the train. she asked me if taking to the train to Howard Beach and then the airtrain was best. I dont know nothing about the airtrain so I told her to take the A train to Lefferts and take the Q10 that it would be better. was this the best route for her to take?

I would take the bus but thats just me:D.

If I don't have alot of luggage, then I would take the to Lefferts then the Q10 to JFK. But if I have quite abit of luggage with no one tagging along with me to the airport, then I'll just take the to Howard Beach then the AirTrain. Or just drive since I'll be coming from Joisey.

I'd have said precisely the same thing. to Lefferts, and then get on the Q10.
