mark1447 685 Posted August 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2009 This topic is related to the IRT Lenox-WPR Local [And ] line only, lets not go off, thanks! Is there a reason why th e(2)[Lenox Ave Local] doesnt have an announced for connecting the the MNCRR at 125th and Malcolm X Blvd? To be honest there should be one, even if its 3 blocks away. Look at 233rd on the WPR, which the does have connection to the MNCRR's Harlem Line[Woodlawn] which is like 4 LONG Blocks away compared to 125th St Follow Blue route from point to Preview of the 233rd St Station: [GMAPS]<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=233rd+Street+(White+Plains+Road+Line)&daddr=Woodlawn+(Metro-North)&hl=en&geocode=FZX7bwIdOgeZ-yHSdM5IuQhhrw%3B&mra=ls&sll=40.894262,-73.860548&sspn=0.014241,0.038581&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=40.89427,-73.86012&spn=0.00186,0.0058&output=embed"></iframe><br /><small><a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=embed&saddr=233rd+Street+(White+Plains+Road+Line)&daddr=Woodlawn+(Metro-North)&hl=en&geocode=FZX7bwIdOgeZ-yHSdM5IuQhhrw%3B&mra=ls&sll=40.894262,-73.860548&sspn=0.014241,0.038581&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=40.89427,-73.86012&spn=0.00186,0.0058" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a></small>[/GMAPS] Preview of 125th Station: [GMAPS]<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=125th+Street+(IRT+Lenox+Avenue+Line)&daddr=Harlem-125th+Street+(Metro-North)&hl=en&geocode=FUysbgIdQq-X-yHyfWFv4qLVLw%3BFbKjbgIdNseX-yGxmkTtCUBQFA&mra=pe&mrcr=0&sll=40.781822,-73.956685&sspn=0.114124,0.308647&ie=UTF8&ll=40.80632,-73.94178&spn=0.00264,0.00678&t=h&output=embed"></iframe><br /><small><a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=embed&saddr=125th+Street+(IRT+Lenox+Avenue+Line)&daddr=Harlem-125th+Street+(Metro-North)&hl=en&geocode=FUysbgIdQq-X-yHyfWFv4qLVLw%3BFbKjbgIdNseX-yGxmkTtCUBQFA&mra=pe&mrcr=0&sll=40.781822,-73.956685&sspn=0.114124,0.308647&ie=UTF8&ll=40.80632,-73.94178&spn=0.00264,0.00678&t=h" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a></small>[/GMAPS] now tell me if 125th is long compared to E233rd Streets btw, same can apply to the crew if they were to announce it on the R62! ____________________- To view Google Map, have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed! 2Line1291 24 Posted August 18, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 18, 2009 They should also make announcements for MNRR connections on Gun Hill Rd and Wakefield-241st St
rmcconnell 1 Posted August 18, 2009 Share #3 Posted August 18, 2009 A distance of two full-length crosstown blocks doesn't really count as a connection. After all, they don't announce a connection to PATH at 33rd Street , do they? I wonder if they still have the signs for the non-existent connection between the Fordham MNR station and the Pelham Parkway station. If that's a connection, then I don't know what is.
