N-Trizzy2609 Posted December 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 23, 2009 "Due to an Amtrak power problem near New York Penn Station, NJ TRANSIT rail service is temporarily suspended between Newark and New York on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast and Midtown Direct lines. Customers are advised of the following: * Midtown Direct trains are being diverted to Hoboken. * Main/Bergen/Port Jervis/Pascack Valley customers who normally transfer to New York-bound trains at Secaucus should remain on the train to Hoboken and connect to PATH. * Westbound (outbound) Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Midtown Direct service from Newark is subject to significant delay. To provide customers with alternate travel options, PATH is cross-honoring NJ TRANSIT rail tickets and passes at Newark Penn, Hoboken and 33rd Street. In addition, NJ TRANSIT buses are cross-honoring in and out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal. " ___________________________________________________________________ Not good at all. Why don't they send some P32DMs and some DMs from LIRR and shuttle the trains through via third rail?
