I live on LI and take the LIRR to work everyday. My son just got the LIRR M7 Lionel train set for Christmas and I am in the midst of planning a layout for him. What started out as a project for him has morphed into something that I am enjoying as well. My son loves trains as well so the acorn did not fall far from the tree. In my quest of finding a layout I have become obsessed with finding LIRR diesel Loco & work cars. Part of my plan for the layout is to have the Passenger train & freight train run on the same layout. I am absolutley amazed how many people are like myself and have a love of trains especially based on this site LIRR trains! If anybody has any ideas, and or have any LIRR O scale work trains for sale let me know. I am planning on a 4x8 layout so I have to be careful and not go overkill with the purchasing of new trains!
