mark1447 Posted March 20, 2010 Share #26 Posted March 20, 2010 If something happened on the and lines north of 96st, then they might have rerouted the train, and sent it to Van Cortlandt instead. They have sent trains to E.180st, when things have happened on the line, and they couldn't turn all the trains back south. It was sometime last year they did this........... Had a feeling.. But Chris did say the R62As are going under SMS, which he is right, so i guess hes wrong about the R142s replacing the 1 of the 62s?

mark1447 Posted March 21, 2010 Share #28 Posted March 21, 2010 What is going to be done to the R62s during SMS? it ill be like the R44/46s.. Get car ends repainted, based on original color, HVAC changed, repaint the metal bar that slides the door on the floor (Forgot what its called) and i THINK window replacement and any small maintenance the train may need. I cant imagine the R68s in SMS, especially the end of the cars
