Floor Replacement

When did the start replacing the floors on subway cars. All I remember is that when the R68's got the new flooring, they stank. Literally. How come the R46's haven't gotten their floors replaced. On some cars, there are actually air pockets below the lining, making large bubbles in the floor.

A bunch of R46 have had their floors replacedrecently. I think they do it every few years. When I was and CYI about 3 or 4 years ago, a bunch of R68s were having floor work done.

Getting new floors is part of the SMS program. The R68/A got an SMS a few years ago and the R46 is geeting an SMS now....

R46 (off the top of my head, car #5771) suwbay cars are getitng new floors to match the ones on the R62 and R68. At least a few of them.
