nycbusfan 2 Posted March 23, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2008 I decided to go into Borough Park to find some of Private Transportation's Orion I buses. Here are some photos of those buses and more.

nycbusfan 2 Posted March 24, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted March 24, 2008 Great shots! Those OI's look like they're holding up good. Any idea wat model year they are? Thanks, 231 is looking great even though it is the oldest bus in the fleet. 208 however is a different story because it has alot of rust on the back of it. I think that 231 is a 1988 model, But I don't know about 208. Here is a rear shot of 208.
East New York 4,103 Posted March 24, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 24, 2008 I guess thats not too bad for a 20 y/o bus. Why didn't MTA take them over too?
Ken S. 4 Posted March 24, 2008 Share #5 Posted March 24, 2008 I guess thats not too bad for a 20 y/o bus. Why didn't MTA take them over too? I think it had something to do with the Hasidic Jews that ride it. Bus 208 looks like a Triboro bus in that rear shot. sebbieprops 0 Posted March 24, 2008 Share #6 Posted March 24, 2008 I wasn't even aware there was a privately operated B-110 route in Brooklyn.

I guess thats a good reason to keep it private. I personally have seen there buses plenty of times, but never even considered riding them. I don't even know if they take MetroCard for that matter. As far as the Triboro comment: ILMAO I wasn't even aware there was a privately operated B-110 route in Brooklyn. Lots of people don't.
Ken S. 4 Posted March 24, 2008 Share #8 Posted March 24, 2008 I guess thats a good reason to keep it private. I personally have seen there buses plenty of times, but never even concidered riding them. I don't even know if they take MetroCard for that matter. I've heard they don't take Metrocards. Some people on these boards have ridden it. I haven't had a reason to ride it.
