gtNovaBusRTS9369 Posted December 19, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2010 Every morning I ride the Q83 to Jamaica. However when it gets there not all buses (barely any) doesn't stop there & instead terminates at Jamaica 153st Instead. The Parsons-Archer subway is more direct as more people use that spot. Why is this?
SevenEleven Posted December 19, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 19, 2010 It could be the rush hour stand configurations. Send the Q42, Q83, Q84 to 153rd while keep the Q4, Q5, Q85, Q111, Q112, Q113 at Archer)
Q43LTD Posted December 19, 2010 Share #3 Posted December 19, 2010 Every morning I ride the Q83 to Jamaica. However when it gets there not all buses (barely any) doesn't stop there & instead terminates at Jamaica 153st Instead. The Parsons-Archer subway is more direct as more people use that spot. Why is this? It's because the Q42 and 83 do not travel down Merrick Blvd and the Q84 is the only local route on Merrick. The part time subway entrance is at 153 St, so those routes use that stop instead
Forest Glen Posted December 19, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 19, 2010 It stops at Jamaica Center. However, it doesn't stop at the main entrance. The Q42,83, and 84 stop at the other entrance (probably to prevent overcrowding).
