lilbluefoxie Posted December 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2010 With the door switches on the outside, where does the conductor stand in between stations? I cant imagine hanging out on that ledge is safe when the train goes thru a turn.

I cant imagine hanging out on that ledge is safe when the train goes thru a turn. He/She comes down, so I guess he/she waits in one of the cars and then stands in between to open the doors when the train comes into a station. SubwayGuy Posted December 29, 2010 Share #3 Posted December 29, 2010 He comes inside and rehooks the chains after having observed the platform for a safe distance once the train has started to move. He then unhooks the chains and goes out there again when the train begins to enter the next station.
INDman Posted December 29, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 29, 2010 The C/R comes back into the car and walks around to ensure the safety of the passngers in both cars. The C/R is not permitted to enter either cab near his position except to store items. While not at his position, the C/R was to remaine visable to the passengers.
