(Q) To Astoria-Ditmars Blvd

Guess what?

The (Q) joins the (N) to Ditmars Boulevard. This is good for (Q) riders who don't like waiting an extra 10 minutes for the (Q) to leave 57th Street. But here's a catch. The (Q) must make local stops between 57th Street and Canal Street in Manhattan. That means that all Broadway trains (N)(Q) and (R) will all run local.

The main reason for the (Q) going to Ditmars Boulevard is because of the (7) service construction. Due to track construction there are no (7) trains running between Times Square in Manhattan and Queensboro Plaza. So the (7) riders will not just rely on transferring to the (N) but also the (Q).

The (Q) will serve the following stops (Manhattan and Queens) Brooklyn Service is normal

Sometimes the (Q) uses different cars like the R40's during construction, maybe the R160B's will be on it too.

Yep theres a chance that the R40s will pop up on the (Q) this weekend.

Yes, very high chance. It may just be one.

But remember, the MTA might decide to go with the R68/As that are on the (W). I'll probably be riding around tomorrow to see.
