alekr Posted October 3, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 3, 2012 Since the stops at Brooklyn Bridge I was thinking maybe instead of Brooklyn Bridge can extend to Bowling Green on the weekdays. Since the is not terminating there it would give the lexington ave local customers to get to Wall Street and Fulton Street without transferring at Brooklyn Bridge. If the was extended to Bowling Green would this delay the coming from Brooklyn?
Threxx Posted October 3, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 3, 2012 Yes it would, severely.... Do you realize that would be 54 TPH on one track? Let's not lock it just yet...
-CT1660- Posted October 3, 2012 Share #3 Posted October 3, 2012 I've seen a few runs where the 6 terminates at Bowling Green rather than Brooklyn Bridge.
Shortline Bus Posted October 3, 2012 Share #4 Posted October 3, 2012 Do you want a conga line on the Lex between Bowling Green and BB-City Hall? Plus it been asked before. A better idea (not saying I agree) is extending the '6' to Bowling Green overnights. That way when the '5' is not running giving all Lex line riders in Manhattan between 125th and Bowling Green train service every 10 minutes or less all night. Thus thread is closed.
