Bracamonte Posted October 9, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 9, 2012 Does Shore Line East offer round trip tickets, cause I look at the ticket types on the brochure and they didn't mention round trip tickets. Also, lets say I want to travel from Grand Central Terminal via Metro North's New Haven Line to either stations on SLE. Do I have to buy a separate ticket at either New Haven Union Station or State Street?
Amtrak7 Posted October 9, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 9, 2012 They don't offer round trip tickets. One way/ten trip/monthly tickets are sold at New Haven, New London and Old Saybrook only, buy one ways on the train for other stations. Onboard sales are conducted using Amtrak COTS ticket stock. MNR connecting passengers starting on SLE must buy a separate ticket at New Haven. Onboard surcharge is waived, if I remember. MNR TVM's sell one way joint tickets. brokecrazy Posted November 2, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 2, 2012 You can buy a combined ticket at a machine, at a window, or on the train (no extra money). If you coming from the east, you can show your SLE ticket to the conductor and the onboard fee will be waived.

brokecrazy Posted November 3, 2012 Share #5 Posted November 3, 2012 If you buy a ticket on the train, you can keep your copy as a momento. If you buy it at a window, it is printed on Amtrak stock.
