Daniel The Cool Posted August 22, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2013 Yep here's some history on why I've decided to take this photo. When my mom's house was moved down to West End Avenue 63rd Street in 1996 it became a fun area to hangout during the times she didn't have money to go out. Starting when I was 19 months old, I would come to the new playground (New in 1996) and use to love going in the sprinklers but MOST of all, Ride this "Famous" Slide. My mom was scared that I was going to fall off the few times I slide down the slide but then after a good while she got used to it. This was my favorite playground to play at especially during the summer and during the winter. This is one of the childhood places I'm glad that's still around. It's a piece of good memories and stuff (Yes non subway memory) and hopes and wish they don't get rid of this place soon. And I actually decide to slide down it yesterday lol Daniel
4P3607 Posted August 22, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 22, 2013 That's 5 blocks away from my Grandparent's house... I admit, when I was kid I always wanted to get into this playground, but never had the time to. It always looked fun.
