A R46 on the (N)? That'll be the day

 Woah what in the world!?

That's exactly what I was asking myself, dude you read my mind. Honestly I can't recall seeing R46 trains on the (N) since the days the BMT service was en route to Forest Hills before the (N) / (R) terminal swap as a regular service, when I was a kid in grade school. We're talking about way back in 1987.

Either the sign is stuck on that particular reading or it's some kind of default setting. That

(N) to CANAL ST

(N) BROADWAY LOCAL

display always seems to pop up.

By the way, nice coverage of Stillwell Terminal, MTA Bus.

It's not the largest elevated train terminal in the world, it's the largest elevated subway terminal in the world. If we take all types of trains into account then there are bigger elevated terminals, like (I hate to say it) Amsterdam Central for example. Or Utrecht Central. Or Nagoya Station in Japan.

Nice pics though! And that R46 (N) was an awesome catch! :)

Ahhhh I see whay your saying Lance. That's actually a (F) train at the appropriate track and platform now that I am looking at the pic more closely, with the vantage point of the crew room/overpass in the background which confirms it. Knew there was something more to it then meets the eye sort of speak. Defintely still a good catch for the record on MTA Bus' part.
