Christie says Port Authority should be Split

So Chris Christie just had a news conference about the Bridgegate shenanigans. It was most of the same stuff but there were some interesting comments about the Port Authority which might be fun to talk about. The head guy David Samson has resigned "amid the scandal" today and an interim director will be apointed. Also, a very interesting idea came about: Christie floated the idea of splitting the PA into two entities so the internal conflicts between the two state commissions don't cause operational problems within the agency. We'll see if that actually goes anywhere but its fun to speculate nonetheless. What would change if the PA was split up into two?

I can understand the Governor position as New York was at one time a Port City but for practical purposes all the facilities are now in New Jersey.as New York got rid of its docks.  Any improvements in rail and roads comes out of New Jersey pockets.to service those facilities. You have 5 river crossings and a shared railroad in PATH which is joint but the building and the 3 airports are subject to the respective states...

Best thing to do is get rid of PA. They are failing too many times in security. They claimed they used the best security system but it all failed. Take JFK when spent millions of dollars and the jet ski was in that restricted area. The system didn't alert of trespasser.FAILED. Twice at WTC. One at night with parachute jumper that somehow snuck into the fence and up the tower. FAILED> The other trespasser that used the elevator and climb the rest of the tower and went up the spire. NO one stop him? FAILED. This failed have been 3 times in about a year. FAILED FAILED FAILED> Say goodbye to PA and screw those worker.

Without getting too political, he can afford to say whatever he wants because by the time the real investigators(not the phonies that cleared him without talking to Kelly, Stepian or Wildstein)get done with finally getting EVERY piece of relevant information, he'll be just another politician who resigned in disgrace.

No. I've been actively following the situation and could post paragraphs on it(which I obviously won't). His silly remarks combined with him trying to talk about a project or idea that he soon won't have anything to do with is NOT political.
