4P3607 Posted July 14, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2015 It's Happening. The XD40's have now spread to Queens - LaGuardia, specifically. I'm sure glad I decided to wait for the Q72 last night. As I'm looking down the road I see an oddly coloured LED sign. I was indecisive to whether or not it was actually the Q72 coming. Then, this appears: I have just enough time to snap a picture of the action in progress... I'm thinking, "What is this? My childhood now ruined". But nevertheless, it was actually a good ride. These buses are actually more sturdy than I thought they were. Here it drops me off safely at my stop. 7449 pulls away, continuing it's route a few more stops to the terminal at 63 Drive. This, my friends, is just the beginning. The beginning of changing LaGuardia depot's well known fleet of buses, as well as the end to one of NYC's greatest icons - the RTS. Pretty soon a new icon - the Xcelsior - will resemble NYC's diverse fleet of buses, and the RTS will be a thing of the past. Get your 96' novas while you can. I hope you guys enjoyed this.
