Basically, this was taken around like 9 pm. (M) service to Forest Hills ends early due to Fastrack on 8 Av. Most of the (M) trains that layup in Queens are stored on the Southbound express track between 169 St and Parsons Blvd. So to get to the layup area, those (M) trains have to go to 179 St layup tracks and reverse direction hence they run some of those (M)s in service to 179 St.

I feel as if (M) and/or (R) to Jamaica should be an actual service pattern as opposed to a G.O.

You will definitely need more trains since you are extending the (M) and (R) to Jamaica and maintaining the same headway. Plus the (F) can handle the crowds.

That I can agree with, come to think of it would a Jamaica Center bound (M) train work

The (E) runs too frequent to have anything else terminate with it. Jamaica Center itself even doesn’t have the capacity to handle all (E) trains during the rush hour so some go to 179 instead.

Well , there's one file that the (MTA) can always pull up and it's from 1968
