PATCOman Posted January 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 7, 2009 As of January 2007, NO SEPTA stations have ticket machines. Doylestown has a ticket office open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. I don't know if the ticket office accepts debit/credit cards.
FamousNYLover Posted January 7, 2009 Share #3 Posted January 7, 2009 When ticket office is open, don't buy it from Regional Rail conductors because you'll be charge $2 when you buy your ticket onboard the Regional Rail. $2 surcharge will not be affected when ticket office is closed. PATCOman Posted January 8, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 8, 2009 Not anymore. The only SEPTA stations with TVMs are Trenton and 30 Street, but they are for New Jersey Transit.

MTR Admiralty Posted January 8, 2009 Share #8 Posted January 8, 2009 Oh... why did they take them out?
PATCOman Posted January 9, 2009 Share #9 Posted January 9, 2009 Thanks FNYL. Here is a pic of a SEPTA ticket machine that was taken out of service: I'm not too sure why they were taken out. They were ancient and there was no touch screen on them. Not only that, but they did not accept the new paper bills, so next to the machines, there was ANOTHER machine that gave you change! PATCO's old machines were worse since they did not accept bills AT ALL!

PATCOman Posted January 11, 2009 Share #11 Posted January 11, 2009 I remember using one at Trenton only once back in early 2007 before it got taken out of service. It was a pain to use.
