I disagree. The Meadowlands Line needs high capacity MUs to be successful in general. There are enough events there in general to make them viable.
That would require electrification on parts of the Main, Bergen, and Pascack Valley lines, which NJT does not want to do, plain and simple. They are facing a massive fiscal crisis, and they think that a fare hike will magically solve that issue, which is extremely laughable. For the World Cup, you're getting the service that they offer for football season, so take that as you will.

6365 on the 44. Hilton now has runs on that route?

Transit still can't pay their locomotive engineers, but somehow they have $400 million to move to a new HQ building.
Make it make sense.

18000s from Egg Harbor being swapped out for the decamp 17000s. If you saw any low numbered 18000s those are from Washington Twp and need body work. Egg Harbors 18000s are currently at Wayne, Meadowlands, and Oradell.
Can confirm seeing low number 18000s there. Thanks for the clarification!

Drove past CMF this morning, and saw a few 18000s sitting outside, as well as some gobus wrapped buses.
Any reason why those 18000s are there?

Does anyone know what the Port Authority Locomotive Engineer Written/Multiple Choice Test consists of? Is it based on the study guide they provide?

Update on the Multilevel IIIs:
"Here’s how much longer NJ Transit’s oldest rail cars will remain in use" - NJ.com
TLDR: The Pilot Multilevel IIIs are expected to be delivered to NJT by the end of this year for testing
Now watch them delay it again

Every trip doesnt stop there....And There are some key businesses back there that will make it hard to catch the buses in either direction and on wkends when the bridge is out they uses river term for service... So me personally i would continue to have the 1 serve that area the way it does...Now would i would do is eilimanate the 1 to river term from nwk and send it to jc...
Majority of weekend service does. And the times it goes there, it's a ghost town.
I do agree with getting rid of the buses terminating at River Terminal and sending them to Jersey City.

Random thought; NJT has way to many service patterns and variations for routes which is why the bus system is so confusing to riders.
I mean, the 1 alone has like what, 10 different service patterns?
The 13, 34, come to mind. I, for one, would like the 1 to have less service to River Terminal. Not every trip that goes to/from Jersey City NEEDS to stop there, especially on weekends.

Olympia Trails finally brought out one of their 2010 NABIs for the Newark Airport Express earlier today. 5634 was on it earlier.
I've seen 6548 3 weeks ago at the airport

Nj transit limited what you can see with the most recent update due to safety concerns brought up by drivers on the Hilton Lines. Foamers, the way they act out went to far and the driver got wiff of the tracking site and brought it to the unions attention. It became a problem when the XE40 went there.
All it takes is one to ruin it all. What you see on the tracking site is the end result. Hopefully it came come back fully.
Good job, foamers...

I assume the bus driver tried to beat the train, and lost

So it finally happened, an artic on the 24. 20810 was on the mentioned route earlier today. Just imagine if ONE Bus had some artics on that route when it still operated it lol

Who came up with that idea?
You can thank Westwood for that

Is there a significant difference between the suburban Nabis vs the standard transit versions besides the seats?
Engines for one. The first batch of the suburbans are Caterpilar until CAT left the bus market and Cummins was placed during production

I wonder when they'll start doing the NABI's.
They already started. With ONE Bus ending local service in Newark, and with NJT taking over those routes, the 65XX NABIs are going to replace the suburban ones. Fairview has started retiring them.

Greenville is apart of the Central Division as of recently according to one of their operators, so makes sense as to why they’re loaning to other Central Division Depots

But in their defense, that's across the united states that those problems are. I know the MBTA locomotives have ACSES/PTC added on in such a way that you have to keep looking up to look at the cab signals because there was no other place to put them.
Transit half assed their entire PTC system, it's amazing that it can work sometimes.
