Orange still has quite a few Novas B's on the road, to this day. This delivery is making absolutely NO sense to me now. I don't get why they just didn't replace all of Orange's Novas at once, instead of retiring some, then sending NABI's to Hilton, and now (seemingly) sending more NABI's to Orange again to finally replace all of their Novas. Cause there's still a buncha Nova B's left at Hilton as well..-____-
i agree with u 100%, no need for Orange to be NABI shuffling but if there one thing we should agree on:
Roach USA RTSs NEED TO TAKE THE PLANK DRIVE ASAP!!!!

I do not know the different type of signs by name only by the the type of bus I see them on....I dont know from which garage they came from im told theyre from coach usa but ironbound now has buses numbered between 8519 (which is currently on a mechanic lift im walking by it as I type this) and 8523 (all 40 ft diesels) all now possess led signage whatever make the nabi use
yeah you are right, its from Coach USA, Olympia Trails to be specific. those buses were used on the Newark Airport Express route, and the signs were replaced since the flipdots stopped working/messed up and they thought to replace it rather than repair it

me, personally, i would leave the 114/117 as it is. Few routes need to be messed with in the greater Newark area, i.e. Union, Springfield just to mention a few

6368 was on the 73
Orange is getting newer buses AGAIN?!

#6324 and #6325 could very well be Orange Garage Buses, Academy Middlesex Buses or Veolia Monmouth County Buses, but I am not so sure.
Could they be hidden at Hilton or still at Ironbound?

Hey what is the fare for riding the 81X because the reason being is on a friday with my two zone pass i wanted to get to JC quick however i was drop off at 53th in bayonne becuase the driver said i needed to pay again which is weird becuase it would cover only 2 zones. Plus it was only me and another person thats it so did i get hopped off legit or not?
thats odd considering the 81, both local and express, is a 2 zone route. idk how things are in Hudson County since my last visit, but maybe the driver must be tripping

I guess my services is no longer required since so many people were complaining that I wasn't giving up to date roster notifications. So, I will no longer do it. Sorry. Been busy trying to get things straighten with my life as well as accepting a position at Greyhound as a driver, if anyone gives a damn but who cares. So, goodbye.
And, Trevor, no beef on you my friend. Great work. Just miffed that people can't understand that I am busy and I try to do what I can yet some are so very rude. And, thus, my patience has run it's course........
sad to hear about you no longer providing the roster updates, but people need to understand some of us have lives on the other side of the computer screen. But i wish u luck in Greyhound. Maybe ill catch you some day in Louisville, if you make it that far south lol

The advantage to my plan is people who live along oceanride bus lines will get more service and a one seat ride to either philly, newark or NYC or trenton if my plan is done in full one can get a 2 seat ride to allentown and Doylestown.
im confused about the proposal, you are trying to make Trans-Bridge serve more stops in NJ??? and about Dover (assuming its the one in NW NJ), most of the people there prefer to go to NYC than Philly. Trans-Bridge shouldnt be messed with

So save for any recent moves, here is the NJT Depot by Depot Roster:

Thanks to everyone who helped out by contributing... and to those who drove me nuts. Enjoy!
Wow nice roster with every depot emblem, Ironbound's is the best looking one, in my opinion lol. Great work

Hmmm DeCamp has Belleville, Bloomfield, Montclair. And CC (Community Coach) runs the #77, which is the from PABT to Morristown via Orange, Route 10. Just to give you the idea

Sorry about the bad rep, hit that button instead of the quote by accident.
Anyway lets get down to business......
I had that idea for the 139 too. I was gonna post it here but you beat me to it. Since the 67 is the only route that can take you North of there (559 will only take you so far North) and since it runs every two hours, it's not as frequent as it should be. Some people use the 67 to get between Toms River and Freehold Mall, and the 559/139 combo isn't very convenient.
Damn it. I had the 60 designation claimed first . But if you want to use it then I'm alright with it since I want to change it to 61, only problem is my Route 1 Express already has that. I'm actually looking to change that number too, was gonna call it the 361, but I prefer to leave that as the 1's express designation. Here's what I've got so far.
61: Union Beach-Weehawken (Maybe i'll push this line back to Port Monmouth.) This could work in organization sort of way. My modified 131 uses '35 and this would too. Imagine hearing that on the 817's clever device. TRANSFER TO 61 & 131.
301: I want to use this one, but I think one of my proposed lines has this # designation already.
Now I'm calling on some of Essex County experts for help on my next route. I want to make a route going from any place in Essex County that's around the Newark area to NYC, not the immediate area though, but something that's close enough for Hilton to do. The problem is I don't where such a route can begin that isn't around any contractors or existing interstate lines. I wanted to have it begin in West Caldwell, but I think DeCamp or Community Coach has them covered.
You hit the nail on the West Caldwell area, I forgot who does the service. Sorry to say this but the 108 will do, besides Hilton is not close to West Caldwell, Orange is

My god..... It's like I have to say it a million times.
NOBODY WANTS TO TRANSFER WHEN THEY USE MASS TRANSIT.
There are multiple reasons why people won't waste their time taking two modes of transport. So I'm gonna list em' for you.
-You have to pay twice. Plus in most cases it's exact fare. No one wants to carry $1.50 in exact change with them and have to worry about counting it when the second bus arrives. And not everyone owns a Monthly pass.
-In some cases, the time to make a transfer is about an hour. And lets be real, you aren't gonna get off one bus and the next one is gonna be sitting there waiting for you or show up 2 minutes later.
-If you're in the 77 riders' shoes you probably have to be at work on time. And taking the 73 to the train sure as hell won't get you there on time since trains tend to skip that stop during rush hour.
-Some people just don't have the time or patience for it.
-WEATHER. This is one real good reason why no one wants to deal with xfering between buses. If it's -5 degrees outside, no one is gonna freeze their ass off waiting for a second bus to show up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
See here's the thing, Hilton only has so many buses. One time they were so short that they had to put a Suburban NABI on the 52 because they didn't have enough Transits. You can't boost the 108's frequency without available buses. And since Hilton serves one of the busiest areas in NJ, there aren't many buses available. And I don't think the Hilton drivers are gonna have a party about having to take an Articulated on the 108.
short on buses?? on Hilton??? not true, maybe they had buses that just pulled in the garage from AM to layover there for the PM shift, and/or maintenance. that garage is never short of buses, maybe short on drivers?? another thing about a Suburban NABI on the 52, thats like saying seeing a Nova on the 13, 39, 107, or 108. not rare but random.
about the 108 yes it serves the Ironbound(my birthplace) but i hardly saw people boarding it along Market St and Ferry St. That doesnt mean to cut service along there since there are some factories near NJT Ferry St Training Facility that people work at from Union City...

what happen to the Bergen Bus IBOA line. Is that line still here and what bus is coming from there.
Bergen Ave IBOA ceased to exist when they failed to make an insurance payment, not to mention their buses were in terrible shape. A&C Transit (Montgomery & West Side IBOA) took over that route

On the roster please note the mistakes:
1]5373 is at Newton Ave.
2]there are NO Nova RTS at Egg Harbor. NABI's have taken over: 6205-6234 and 1601-1625.
3]the Egg Harbor NOVAs are spread out between Hilton, and the Jersey City Bus companies..
that explains where the first batch of mini CRAPIs went to
0 -
@sirjokaplaya in what context you mean?
0 -
That would make more sense. Especially considering Hilton, Coach USA ONE Bus and a few other garages still have lots of Novas left.
What are they going to do about the suburban Novas from 2001 that they use on the go25?!
That's a good question, although those buses aren't used as much as the rest of Hilton's fleet (great shape, interior looks good)
0 -
Well looks like Orange will get the last of the CRAPIs

I don't agree with this one. Not many people down here want Bloomfield or Union. If you end it at Metropark, it might get some ridership from those who use that station. But I don't think many people are gonna want Bloomfield.
Sea Bright isn't along 35 btw, It's along 36.

NJT 65 Freehold-Newark. As for the current 65 (the one that's combo-ed with the 66) it will become the 366. Hey, it was either 65 or 69. And I sure as hell don't want any immature people makin' jokes. https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=208174968748802406451.0004d7faf9691fee9db9d&msa=0&ll=40.72186,-74.223011&spn=0.013303,0.027874
while i gotta admit to ya kid, you got some very bright ideas, and some that has stirred the pot a bit here. about the #16 route of yours, while it sounds good, that area is already covered by the 70. Not to mention the 52 to Elizabeth, 66 to Newark/Union College/Mountainside and the 114 to NYC serve that area. but still got to give u props for your ideas

my bad, memory is shot just a bit. it was the old 979 before it got axed in 2010

Ive been away with training over a month in the swamps of louisiana and i have catching up to do.
*First off, the bickering needs to stop. we are transit fans, we all have our own opinions and are entitled to believe in. no need to rub people your "extensive knowledge". in all, KNOCK IT OFF!!!!
*Second, someone mentioned the 11 being adjusted or "short turned". No need to do that, leave the routes that serve the greater Newark area untouched. There is a reason why the 11/28 are combined.
Ive also heard about a route serving central jersey to Irvington. There is one called the 986, if my memory is good, that serves Raritan Center to/from Irvington but is not frequent, only one trip on both AM & PM.
about the 94, that route, is a mess but that route gets packed, no need to extend it any futher
but thats just me

Any word on Broadway IBOA getting refurbished Novas or at least a CRAPI?

why ask? are u gonna enhance it, make it go farther than it originally goes? if that route is still rolling, why bother with it? and for your answer the 71 does not pick up passengers to/from Newark Penn all the way to/from Erie Loop, or so it states (thats what the 21 is for)
