What happened to the RTS hybrid buses NJT had
Those were last seen retired, sitting at the RTS graveyard at Meadowlands garage

Idk if today is an omen but now a DeCamp MCI cruiser crashed in Route 3...

Well NJT is getting their new CRAPIs wrecked. Bus #5937 was in an accident after midnight at Market St & Washington Ave in Newark. No word on what cause it but it collided head on with a cab and the force of impact drove the bus to crash in a building nearby.

Another thing I noticed, this time its about the PCCs that are left:
First; any word on the proposed loop to be built at the old Military Ocean Terminal in Bayonne? I know they have 8 PCCs wrapped and waiting to be refurbished at the HBLR shop but why don't NJT use them for special ssrvice on the HBLR?
And the same goes for the Newark Light Rail. I happen to take it from Grove St to Penn Station and I saw 2 of them sitting outside the shop rusting and falling in disrepair. Does NJT uses them for maintenance cause if not why not refurbish them for special service like a throwback theme/day?

Does NJT have a heavy repair facility like the MTA (grand avenue, zerega, east new york)?
They do. Its called the Central Maintenance Facility and its attached to Ironbound garage.

Ok so they may have started at 6461 I have not seen that one at Orange.
Silver Script just said he was on 6461 on the 96 today

While I know that the ALP-44s are retired from service, but I noticed that there was one still with its pantograph installed and the windows not covered/plated outside of the MMC when I was in town recently.

nice.. ok thanks.. and why did they split if you know?
Cause the original 62 heading to the airport in either direction be experiencing heavy crush loads causing the bus to be late.

is it just me or did they do a major change to the 62 route cause i remember it going all the way down to islen(metropark station) or was it another route that had a 60 number?
The 62 got split recently. From Newark Penn to Elizabeth via Airport and Ikea is the new 62. From Elizabeth to all points south of the original 62 is now the new route 48

Just saw 6452 on the 94 in Stuyvesant Ave in Union/Irvington line

So with that said, looks like them Novas won't die

Yup.
So if you wanna ride an RTS, go catch Coach USA's 24A or 31. Or try the IBOA.
Not true, there is more than 4 left in Orange

I don't think that's what he was "asking". Why he would want me to put NJT bus route proposals in a SEPTA forum is beyond me.
Posting to just troll I suppose

Forgot to add this, as far as the Novas go. We know some got sent to A&C Bus. I found 2 of them on the 31 wrapped in Coach USA livery. One was 1515 and another was 155x

well im back in NJ for 2 weeks. but first things first:
the way I arrived was pretty long but worth it. Took Amtrak's Cardinal from Cincinnati, OH to Newark Penn. A 20 hour trip (train was an hour late) but to experience the route was great. but once the train pulled out of DC the rest was history. but this is a topic for another thread lol.
however i did get my bus rides in today and few things popped out:
*first one was the few remaining Novas in Orange. Saw 2 13XXs and 1514 on the 94 and 27 in the AM, then 1407 on the 5 at Penn Station during the PM rush hour. Get them last rides people
*second about the whole clever device thing; it isn't about the GPS system (which some people here are complete foamers. not attacking people, just saying). the bell when you hit the Stop Requested tape/button on the Neo's and Crapi's changed. it sounds like when you hit the button in the plane to call in a flight attendant. Has anyone noticed that anywhere else?

Wow they got more than I thought. I heard 6430 is at Orange.
from what i heard yes. Greenville stopped getting Crapis at some point of the delivery. And as for Orange, they dont need more buses anyway. They have enough already, send those units south where they actually need them

Last I heard Greenville had up to 6421. But they could have got a couple after that.
Just spotted 6427 on the 6 via MybusNow

How is it NJT's fault when NJT and PATH are separate operations? Please explaintrue that is NJT's problem

I think Hilton shares the 126 with Greenville, Meadowlands, and Ironbound so that's no surprise there.
I'm still scratching my head as in why is Hilton involved in the 126

That's a shame... people are complaining about Veolia nonstop yet as usual NJT doesn't give a flying f**k.
no surprise there, if that was the case NJT wouldve canned CUSA Olympia Trails for their terrible service on the 24 and 31

I think Veolia might have lost its contract?
I was over at the mall earlier and I saw a NABI with "(something) TRANSIT INC." instead of "VEOLIA TRANSPORTATION INC." next to "OPERATOR" on the side. It was an ad-wrap bus, so maybe it was a typo, but it looked like it might have said "KEOLIS" or "FIRST" next to "TRANSIT" and not "VEOLIA". I saw another bus that still for the most part said Veolia on the side but it was like "VE LIA TRANSPORTAT ON INC.", as if some of the letters were torn off.
If they really did lose the contract, it's about damn time. That operation is/was one of their WORST.
Well sorry to bust your bubble, but Veolia is sticking around for quite some time. NJT extended their contract effective September 1st, 2013 until September 2020.
Probably a typo or something

Wow, First, Greenville sent some of their NABI buses to Washington Twp, then to Fairview, and now one gets sent to Hilton? Greenville is losing most of their suburban NABI buses.
it seems like Greenville will get the latest batch and in return are sending their suburban's to different garages... all we can do is either investigate, fan their routes, or sit and wait

Greenville is sending some of their NABIs to Fairview! 5241, 5242, 5243, 5244, 5253, 5254, 5257 is @ Fairview.
They are taking away from Fairview the MCIs w/restrooms.
what the hell is NJT doing with all this reshuffling of their fleet???
everyday NJT is shuffling...

On board bus 1603, route 505, and the door to the fare box just somehow propped open, and the alarm is continuously buzzing while new passengers get a free ride
so the baby CRAPIs are already showing their issues?

Try more with the 44, they always seem to have them and that route broke in the 56xxx they received earlier
