  1. Yes, but also our 5000's had issues with the beams underneath (when they came out) and became a pain for the CTA. Not that it matters, but Chicago has a plant for CRRC to build and Bombardier got butthurt about this.
  2. *raises hand* (although true story: I was attempting to walk to TSQ and I ended up at the UN on accident, with a map in hand)
  3. Might want to go one step further and do a FIND for the blue line:
  4. In fairness, it only affected 20 cars. All of the rest that followed came with new RGB's. Thankfully.
  5. This is good news, considering that I'll be making the trip late in October...
  6. Only except we have the next stop at the top and the time at the bottom. I would reckon you can switch between the displays. To Court Street / Next Stop: Jay St./MetroTech 8/18/13 1:41 PM We're not too concerned with the destination on those displays (since those are already on the sides). However, for your purpose, a double line display on the inside wouldn't be a bad idea. Less scrolling and flipping for you guys. The color bullets would be a good idea, I suppose my question is can it support Brown, Gray, and Orange with a screen display large enough for the commuter to see from afar?
  7. Coming from someone hailing from an agency where we retired (officially) 44 year old cars yesterday, I can see where the nostalgia fanatics are coming from. Also coming from an agency who have spent $1.2 Billion on our NTT cars, I can see why foamers are ecstatic and upset about them. I get excited whenever I come to NY to see your collection of cars. Honestly, my rule applies that 'as long as the darn things work, I'm thankful...' I won't knock on the foamers of the old school because honestly we'll all miss them when they're gone, scrapped, or reefed. And the NTT's aren't going away anytime soon. Let's all agree that, at least, the darn trains work, regardless of the train line, and at least we're still alive to see them work hard (or hardly working).
  8. I've got one more. This one is dealer's choice. I'll try not to foam too hard at this amazing work. lol (Merci, beaucoup!) First Cycle: 224 Century/Avalon Second Cycle 224 via Avondale Metro Third Cycle 224 Jubilee TC
  9. IRT: Much obliged. I like just the one destination. Approves.
  10. Good god your diagrams are amazing. I am jealous of your skills. As for the proposal, the one thing that stuck in my mind was that there's a lot of switching and a lot of relaying, and I've a feeling that if something goes wrong, 90% of the system will be affected (and that's scary). 8/10 anyway.
  11. Even if the Orange doesn't exist, couldn't you have your signs point from 71 (or Mrytle) to Metropolitan? As long as the destination signs are right, that shouldn't matter.
  12. So do those trains come back as (N)'s or (Q)'s on the reverse?
  13. All things considered, I'd take a guess toward the end of the year before revenue testing would commence.
  14. Thanks for everything you guys have been doing thus far and beyond.
  15. Update: I was indeed correct (re: easy fix)-- In the event you have a "tunnel of darkness" it's best that you put the "Object" "Sound" and "Route" folders under the "railway" folder. Carry on folks. Time to test the R143 on the Benny.
  16. I've had problems now with loading the routes and the objects. I assume that it's an easy fix (I don't know where to begin though), but I'm surprised I had it working on my Mac without lag. I've got the dependencies to run the program, but as far as the routes are concerned, I don't know I need to drive in "complete darkness" (see: Exhibit A) Exhibit A Exhibit B
  17. Another dumb question: If you have Trainz for Mac, do you need to hit up the DLS for the good content? If so, will they accept the Mac OS formatting?
  18. One more request. Flipdot. 220 | Arlington Pkwy (center line, smaller font) 220| via Northwest TC Euclid/ Gov't Ctr.
