Yeah my B/O NEVER lets us open up the windows. He says "It's perfectly cool" but he has TWO fans on him. (One came with the bus, the other was his own) and there is no ventilation on the bus. It wasn't even one of the new Thomas's which seem to be cooler in general, but it's one of the old Blue Birds. And of course I'm the first stop. (God knows why we pick up downtown THEN go to Inwood, but nevertheless
I had to suffer through that, and it was raining on me from the ceiling evacuation hatch vent. Windows were opened, but when I asked the teacher to shut the roof vent:
That, I don't touch.
Lady, there's a freaking lever labeled "Vent activation". By the time I got back to school, I was pissed off like hell and soaking wet.

I had a science teacher who was real mean. Thank god she retired last Monday.
Also, what's up with these profileless users with names like Yahoo, Facebook, MSN, etc.?
Did anybody also notice how there are alot of users who haven't logged on since like 2008? That's accounting for a lot of the people on the birthday list who aren't even using this site anymore.

Algebra/Trigonometry... Liked and found easy.... Geometry... Ugh... Hated it... The teachers never explain it and there isn't IMO a real formula for some of the answers... Being a linguist I like formulas and logic... Granted sometimes languages have irregularities but geometry IMO just sucks. I did okay though considering how much I hated it.

Question: If the 59th Street Bridge were to be replaced, would you want another cantilever truss design (current design) or a suspension design? (Verrazano-type design)?
Personally, I think the current 59th Street Bridge is an eyesore.

He stated an IDEA, Roadcruiser.
Quote: Roadcruiser, shockingly, you are not always right.
I agree.
This is an anonymous quote from the LIRR Rockaway Beach branch reactivation discussion. Will not disclose further.

Wut? There is a BMT 59th-60th Street line, but not a 63rd. The will be using IND track.
The BMT 63rd Street line is the connector from the 57th Street-7 Avenue station to the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street BMT side.

I just realized that the last time I took the bus was in 2010! And also there was always a nice B49 operator who let me get free rides when I didn't have my student Metrocard with me on weekends or holidays in Kindergarten.

The switch to the 63rd Street Tunnel prevents that from happening.
There's a freaking thing called the BMT 63rd Street Line!

It needs a middle track of some form to get form 72 St to 125 St. Add one stop in the middle, I could care less. It needs an Express in some form past 72 St. The will be relieved a bit, but there is still gonna be lots of traffic on this new subway, as people will want to use it as an alternative to the Lexington. Express would work.
Rush hour peak direction express. During the AM rush goes express towards Hanover, PM rush goes express to 125.

dont forget 61 St...
I say add a station at 60th Street and provide a transfer to the so riders won't have to transfer to the and the to access the Lower East Side.

Excuse me, do you even realize why the SAS is being built? It's to take the load off of the SAS. This super express isn't going to cut it. At the least, Phase 3 needs to be a four-tracked line with St. Marks Avenue & 28th Street stations. The current plan just isn't good enough to do much to take the load off of the Lex Avenue Line. The could be connected with the at 2nd Avenue and could run to Avenue X. That right there, would be a better plan than what is currently being proposed.
Nice going, Threxx. Roadcruiser, like, seriously?!? We are just trying to discuss the logical possibilities and ideas. Not being a moderator. Carry on.
You see, it's this kind of condescending language that gets you in trouble. You don't need to keep putting him down in this rant. Plus, the current HighLine goes through buildings, and it was once an el, what do you have to say for yourself?
I'm sorry, but every single person on this forum is tired of your constant, condescending opposition to others' ideas. Don't apologize. Don't do it, and we'll accept that as an apology.
EXACTLY. THANK YOU THREXX.

so more or less the 2nd Avenue is a faster alternative tho the
Essentialy, yes.

It runs really early in the morning like between 7 - 8 AM, are you around the 49 after that time period?
No. Will be next May or so if my parents allow me to walk via Ocean to Cunningham in late 6th to 8th grade.

Whatever happened to the B49 LTD?I'm around Ocean Avenue often and I only see BM3's and B49's.

That's common. Sometimes B/O's forget to change the destination sign.
Lady: Is this bus going to Harway or Bergen? Cuz the bus stop says Bergen and your sign says Harway.
B/O: Whoops.(Dives into huge codebook and digs out code for B3 to Bergen via Av U.)

I get really ticked off when some people just take their merry old time to JAYWALK on the busiest road in the area. We have places to be and things to do, jaywalkers. Also, some bikers cut across like two lanes of traffic to see a friend. Geez can you spare 2 minutes for your welfare and life? Also I like the old meters instead of those MuniMeters. Also can they change the name of those. It just sounds kinda, well, something I just can't describe.
