42Nd st Shuttle Runs on line, to Astoria, making all stops, with eleven cars.
If you want to run that, you would need staff on the platform to help people over the gap, and trains would have to wait awhile for people to board.
Plus, won't the BMT-IRT switch get worked out from continous switching after barely being used since the 1950's?

Because of a structural failure, the express tracks at 34 St - Herald Sq are impassable. In addition, the local tracks can only accommodate 15 tph (per track).
Disregarding tph,(I haven't got a clue what that's all about, know what it stands for) here's my way:
remain normal
suspended
remain normal
rerouted via 8th avenue

additional service to help out Astoria and the
terminates at Atlantic Avenue, alternate trips end at Prospect Park unused shuttle track (move the layup out) due to wrong railing in the tunnel, take the or next to continue your trip

New scenario chiefs.
An Earthquake causes the tunnel under the river to collapse. The tunnel also collapses too. Go.
Shuttle between 95th and 36th.

C'mon, I was just joking. Back on topic before we start grammar school on this thread.
The entire Brighton Corridor from Prospect Park to DeKalb avenue is unusable. However, trains may stop at DeKalb or Prospect, but cannot travel within the corridor. How would you reroute the ?
Use shuttle buses as a last resort.

Y U NO SAY THAT?
Dude. English, please.
You say: Y U NO SAY THAT?
Proper saying: Why did you not say that?
Don't ask, I am just the type of guy who pays 110% during grammar lessons.

Then why run the Franklin Ave in the first place?
This is a fantasy plan based upon the idea of having the run, why not make the entire shuttle section 3 tracks and have one set of R68 Shuttle cars run, as the frequencies of the idea would help out the .

Since you didn't, i'll propose a new scenario:
Due to construction of a new underground passageway from Barclay's Center to Atlantic Terminal, the (B /(Q) station & the (2)/(3)(4)/(5) local tracks are closed. Pacific Street is unaffected. All Atlantic Terminal LIRR trains have been rerouted to LIC. Just reroute subway lines.
Remember:
4 Avenue can't handle 5 lines.
The IRT Brooklyn Express tracks can't handle 4 lines.
B Division:
Q runs in 2 sections:
1-CI to PP
2-Astoria to 57th St
B-suspended
A Division:
2-Goes through the express tracks
3-Turns at TSQ-42 St
4-Extended to New Lots Av
5-Shuttle from Dyre to E 180th

I wonder if the R160s have a program for Q to Forest Hills-71 Av, like they did after 9/11,
and the R160s should know about the BMT 63rd Street, so there can be a progam for Queensbridge via Broadway like they did with the 6th Ave Fastrack.

Ok, let's say:
What if there is a switch problem at 47-50th Street, forcing all trains to run via 53rd Street to Queens? What would you do?
Sorry if this has been done already.
