  1. This is a really, really hard one. Practically the whole system would be screwed up... some trains run local in Manhattan, and/or terminate at South Ferry Utica Av-Wall St Woodlawn - Grand Central-42 St, with some trains terminating at 149 St-Grand Concourse or 125 St runs via between Nevins St and 149 St-Grand Concourse Pelham Bay Park - Grand Central-42 St, with some trains terminating at 3 Av-138 St runs via 8 Av local, terminates at 2 Av runs local on 6 Av terminates at Chambers St runs via 8 Av Express Coney Island - 34 St via 6 Av Express Astoria-Ditmars - 34 St Coney Island - Prospect Park Bay Ridge-95 St - Whitehall St some trains extended to 9 Av Station
  2. What we were wondering about, though, is how the trains are going to terminate at 161 St.
  3. terminates at Franklin Av runs express between Atlantic Av and Franklin Av terminates at Bowling Green terminates at 2 Av station runs via 4th Av Local/Sea Beach Local shuttle runs between Coney Island and Brighton Beach
  4. Good question. All I know from the MTA website is that they mentioned no shuttle train, so they probably won't have one.
  5. NEXT: Uptown train derails on the switch between the express and local tracks north of 145 St. The uptown express and local tracks in that area are impassible.
  6. Yeah, that's why my instincts would have told me to suspend the .
  7. Maybe in this case, but not in others necessarily.
  8. Well, the is often considered a supplementary route because you can just run the local to replace it. Thus, the is often the first route to be suspended when track capacity is an issue (e.g. reroutes that require sharing tracks w/ another line, or temporary terminals that can't handle many trains as the usual ones).
  9. Thanks for pointing that out. FamousNYLover had a better idea.
  10. runs via in both directions between W 4 St and 59 St runs via in both directions between W 4 St and Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av trains terminate at 34 St trains run express between Canal St and 59 St in both directions
  11. Can you say which tracks are not usable?
  12. I don't think that there's any reason why they'd schedule three trains to come within 10 minutes. This sounds like a good old case of bunched trains, which meant that there might have been a big gap with no Euclid-bound trains just after the three of them came.
  13. Then why did the replace the HVACs on the R32s if they're still going to do the swap? I thought the whole point of the swap was to get the unreliable old HVACs above ground.
  14. MTA and Corona Yard would probably prefer having only one type of traction motor to deal with. So if the Bombardier motors are really out of production, than maybe they will put in something else (e.g. Alstom) into all of the trains to streamline the operations. But, MTA as usual will try to keep short-term costs down, and thus this may not be happening.
  15. 181 St - 34 St/Herald Sq, local stops Shuttle, Far Rockaway-Euclid Av Single-track shuttle, Clinton-Washington to Lefferts Blvd Jamaica Ctr - Lexington/53rd Suspended 145/205 St - 34 St/Herald Sq Jamaica 179 St - 47-50 Sts/Rockefeller Ctr Single-track shuttle, Carroll St - Coney Island Shuttle, Metro Av - Myrtle Av/Bwy Via Montague St Tunnel, via West End Coney Island - Prospect Pk Court Sq - Bedford/Nostrand Runs express between Franklin Av and Atlantic Av Downtown trains terminate at Bowling Green Suspended Alternate trains terminate at Grand Central/Queensboro Plz
  16. I see. I didn't realize that they would do that.
  17. Here's an idea: Due to FASTRACK, no trains on the brighton line between Prospect Park and DeKalb Av. The and bypass tracks at DeKalb are available, just not the Brighton tracks.
  18. Are all R32s going to the , or just the ones that haven't had their HVAC replaced in the SMS?
  19. A lot of the bombardier motors are dead on the R142As, more so than other trains from other yards. Hopefully they will replace them with new ones, whether they are bombardier or something else.
