  1. I know about that. However I have already proposed straightening the Q23 to continue down 108 Street and for Roosevelt riders, it's called the .
  2. The Q48 is a deadbeat route. If streamlining it wouldn't work, cutting it altogether would. It is a waste to continue operating that route if no one is going to use it.
  3. If there's so little demand for it, then why does it operate in the first place then? Shouldn't it be cut if there's no demand for it?
  4. Well yes no one from Manhattan is going to use it. However Flushing residents who go to LaGuardia usually use the train to the Q33 because the Q48 has crap headways (I mean 20 minutes, no wonder nobody uses it). This Q48 limited would at least get those riders to use it instead since the headways would be improved and it would be faster.
  5. New proposal that involves the Q48. I think everyone knows that the current Q48 is unreliable to use to LaGuardia Airport because of it's headways. So under my proposal, the Q48 would be converted into a limited route that still runs from Flushing to LaGuardia Airport but uses an entirely different route. The current routing would be discontinued and it would use the Grand Central Parkway Instead. It basically mirrors the Q70 and after leaving Main Street/Roosevelt Avenue or simply the station, it will only make one stop at Northern Boulevard/Main Street then use the Grand Central Parkway to get to LaGuardia Airport and it would serve all the Terminals like the current Q48. Here's the map of it: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=214089513480814599261.0004e34fac31725b97b27 And also on a side note, before anyone says "well they can't operate on the Grand Central because of restrictions", well the Q70 operates on the restricted parts as well and it's still being started. That is unnecessary. I would just send the Q52 to Woodside and extend it to Far Rockaway. And the Q52 is really a branch of the Q53 so why add stops to it that the Q53 won't make.
  6. Well I just found out R160s are now officially assingned to the train.
  7. I've never spotted one since the line started getting R160s. Am I unlucky or something lol?
  8. Nice shot but I thought the R46 no longer operates on the . I never seen one in years. No fair! Whenever I use the it's always an R46 .
  9. Considering what happened with the Q45/Q47, it's very likely actually so don't hold your breath. Yeah but many of them use it to LGA and the Q33 is being pulled out of there so it would lose that ridership.
  10. It's simpler to just merge them which is very likely to happen considering how useless that Q33 would be after it gets truncated.
  11. Name me one person who doesn't hate the !
  12. I clearly said I didn't care about a stop at 69 Street . And 3657 feet for a gap between two limited stops really isn't really too big imo.
  13. About short turning some Q53s, a big NO. People use the Q53 from Woodside, too many to short turn some of then at Moore. Also about a stop at 69/Roosevelt? No comment on that but what is the necessity in doing that?
  14. I have proposed a new Subway route called the 8 train that runs from Co-op City to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall via the Lexington Avenue local. Heres the map of it and it also lists all the stations: 8 Train - Google Maps Well map it out then I'll comment on it.
  15. I know that buses should connect to subway lines. Hence that was a small reason why the former Q89 was cut. It didn't connect to a subway station. Heck, it didn't even connect to LIRR. Anyways I know that if this wouldn't help the Q27 then my proposal would be useless. And about you saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it" even if a route doesn't need to be altered, it could always be improved with proper changes.
  16. Just because it would share the Q83's terminal doesn't mean the Q83 has anything to do with my proposal. I proposed Q13 down Bell Boulevard to be redundant to the Q27. Usually redundancy is bad but the Q27 is a route that needs a redundant route since it always gets overcrowded. And because Bell Boulevard is close and parallel to Springfield Boulevard, that is why I sent it to continue down Bell Boulevard.
  17. Anyways, new proposal. Reroute the Q13 to Cambria Heights at 227 Street/114 Avenue via Bell and Springfield Boulevards. This is to make the route redundant to the Q27 (in a good way though) and siphon off some passengers who use it since that route is overcrowded. Also in this proposal, the Q31 would be rerouted onto Francis Lewis Boulevard (exactly like B35viaChurch's earlier proposal to straighten that route. This Q13 rerouting also makes it even more unnecessary for the Q31 to run down Bell Boulevard. Here's the map of it: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=214089513480814599261.0004e2eb808e72bf8bf3c Also Q13 doesn't need to do Fort Totten-Flushing as the Q16 already does that job already and the Q28 is nearby too.
  18. I have actually have done that lots of times and it is an easy walk for me.
  19. That is exactly why the B46 should be an SBS route.
  20. They can either walk there or transfer to the Q38 or Q54.
  21. The rerouted Q67 still is only one bus stop away from the , people would just walk to it.
  22. Again, I wouldn't eliminate it, I would reroute it to Forest Hills. There are too many areas that only have the Q67 to use as transportation. Completely cutting it would make areas lose bus service.
