Strangely enough last week (Wenesday), there was an RTS on the M96 from Flatbush Depot. The number was 4965. Any explanation as to why this bus was on that route?

Well, if you would want to know why the and has the most confusing car assignments (I think) is because of the mix of 4 car R160's and R42's at East New York Yard.
Is a R32 transfer to Coney Island possible? It can serve on the , or .

Now some questions.
Will the following cars see fan trip action
R30 8506 (includes 8522 and 8481 which are in 207th Street Yard)
R32 3352-3353
R40M 4480-4481
R44 5240

Any information on the following cars:
R12 5782 (sitting outside 207th Street Yard)
R12 5781
R26 7774-7775 (sitting outside Concourse Yard)
R28 7924-7925
R29 8678-8679

If Southeast Queens has so much political pull to potentially affect car assignments, then answer me this. Why are the rust-buckets, aka the 42s, still mainstays on the J-line? And don't say sign issues.
In all honesty, the likelihood of seeing anything other than the A1s on the M is remote at best. If Transit sticks with the idea of keeping the 32s out in the East until their retirement, they'll likely run them on the least-demanding of the lines and that's not the M. No, they'll use them as put-ins and limited runs for the J and Z.
Well, the reason why the rust-buckets (aka the R42's) are still operating on the and is because of the R44's (as I say it) untimely retirement in 2010 thanks to it's mechanical problems while in operation.
Oh, and will we see another R42 on the , or even any other line (like the or for example)? I feel like this will happen with this permanent swap of the 32's going to the and , and the 4-car R160's to the ...

Since no one has posted a scenario in 2 weeks...
There has been a derailment at 9th Avenue on the . There are numerous injuries reported.
Reroute or suspend away!

Since no one has posted a scenario in the past few days...
A derailment has occurred north of Herald Square on the 6th Avenue line, involving a northbound train. The crossover north of the station changed at the last second when the train's second part of the car was passing it.
Reroute, shuttle bus, or detour away!

1) No.
2) Very costly. You have a million dollars?
True.
I wish.
Same here.
Shut the system down like they are going to do in a few hours
interesting response
LOL.

Okay. The and the sound like reasonable routes to extend to the airport. But the ? How would you "extend" the to the airport? Heck, the airport doesn't need that much service in general. If anything, the should be extended eastward to help out with those very overcrowded bus services that run along it.
Besides, we have the proposed LGA Airtrain by governor Cuomo anyways.

Mainly at the Euclid Avenue subway stop. And yes, I'm proposing a route that runs between a mall and an airport. So let me get this right... You're proposing a route that runs between a mall & an airport?
Where exactly will your riderbase come from?

No, the B8Of course, you meant the Q8, right?

Here's a more sensible bus proposal.
Route Name/Number
B88
Depot Owner
Spring Creek
General Route Info
The B88 will begin at The Gateway Center Mall in Spring Creek. It will turn left onto Erskine Street, right onto Vandalia Avenue, and then left on Fountain Avenue, where from there, it will follow the B8 until South Conduit Avenue (along with additional stops for subway transfers to the line. Once it reaches South Conduit Avenue, it will make a right onto that street, and continue straight until it reaches the Van Wyck Expressway, where it goes onto exit ramp 1S, then doing a stop at Federal Circle, and eventually will continue on to JFK with the Q10 and B15, and terminate at Terminal 5 with the Q3 (where JetBlue runs it's NYC based flights). The return trip to Spring Creek will start with stopping at terminals 7 and 8. Then, the route will get on the Van Wyck, with a stopover at Federal Circle. From there, the route will continue onto the expressway until it reaches exit 1N, where it will go onto a u-turn, and join North Conduit Avenue. There will be bus stands at 130th Street, Lefferts Boulevard, and Aqueduct Road. It will continue onwards North Conduit until it meets the B8, where from there it will follow that route pattern, and eventually terminate at mall.
Buses It Will Use
New Flyer C40LF
Enviro 300 (test fleet)
Hours
24/7 XD
Benefits
It will help commuters have more options that just using the line.
What do you think? It is it good or it needs improvement?

Because the is an 8-car line, and it's homelines are within the and thanks to it's previous service on Nassau Street. When the was created, many riders were upset about the leaving 53 Street. But the as an express.... maybe if it had 10 car sets but that will never happen.

The original Court Street station will still be in place, and the two tracks used by the will merge with the original tracks that lead to the Transit Museum, then head into Hoyt-Schermerhorn.How will that solve the problem?
0 -
True that. Adding to this, there are also no other locations for the Transit Museum, and the station itself is just two blocks west of Hoyt-Schermerhorn. So if you want an IND Court Street station for the , built and locate it as an island platform between Court Street and Clinton Street. Problem solved.Where will the bypass be routed?Routing it through the Transit Museum is a big no-no. Many people have vigorously fought to save the museum from closure not long ago...

It would be my honors to introduce you, to the new and worsened Wallyhorse!
Oh, God... Please don't this...

Something more sensible.
At the Main Street-Flushing station, someone has changed the signs on an R62A, and changed it to a Flushing (11) sign. Luckily, two NYPD officers were present, and was arrested on the spot. But now, the station is closed for investigation.
Reroute/suspension away. Extra credit for bus service (or use of shuttle buses).

Maybe bring back the old fleet (R10's to the R40's) into service to help overcrowding?

I have a proposal for a new shuttle service for around the Brighton Beach area. All of the line is elevated.
Manhattan Beach Shuttle
Stations
Brighton Beach (the line will have it's own station level)
*goes onto Brighton Beach Avenue, and eventually onto Oriental Boulevard*
West End Avenue/Amherst Place
Hastings Street/Manhattan Beach Park
Quentin Street/ Kingsborough Community College
*TERMINATE*
Track
It would be mainly two track, with crossovers at Brighton Beach and Quentin Street. There will also have tracks to upper level to join with the , so that way it has access to the Coney Island Yards for use of other fleet prototype.
Trains/Cars Per Hour
It will mainly be using R143 subway cars (8283-8314). All of them 4 cars each. Rush hours and weekdays, there is 3 cars. Weekends is two. Late nights is.
Benefits
This new line will help make Manhattan Beach a more recognizable neighborhood in New York City. Also, it would put in more money, and the neighborhood as a whole will have a more improved economy.

1. The was Brown, not yellow
2. Broad Street usually closes during weekends. Broad Street will run at all times starting in 2015.
3. The served Broad Street only during rush hours, when the ran to Bay Parkway. (Although it did briefly terminate at Broad Street evenings in 2009 and 2010.)
Speaking of the , I have an idea...
On rush hours, there's a selected number of trains that go over to Jamaica Center as a local until Briarwood to join with the .

Time to get this thread active again.
Revival of The Line
Service
Goes as the usual local with the South Ferry to 96th Street. After 96th Street, it runs on middle track, until 137th Street-City College. It then runs on the middle track again, but when the local track converges onto the middle at 145th Street, it will continue straight onwards, and bypass 157th Street. It stops at 168th Street, 181st Street (bypassing), and Dyckman Street. It will then turn onto the middle track until 215th Street, turn back onto the middle again, and head straight for 242nd Street to terminate. All times and weekends, except late nights. Trains go at one at a time for the middle track to reduce traffic.
Subway Cars
It will continue to use the R62As, some selected R62's, and R142's.
