So tomorrow is Day 5, I think we will be in Manhattan doing highway driving and driving locally around Manhattan. I know day 6 we have to do good and along with day 7 to qualify the earliest. So what do we have to do good on Day 6 and day 7 to qualify, anyone know of a list of items we should and shouldnt do on days 6 and 7? Thanks!

So that would be for a right turn the the first right lane, and for left turns, the very first left lane to the left?

Another question I have is If lets say Im turning left or right and the street im on before the turn has three left turn lanes or three right turn lanes, which lane should I be in? And, If im turning right or left and depending on the turn if say theres three straight only lanes which lane should i turn into, the left straight, the middle straight, or, the right straight lane? Just curious.

My instructor said instead of turning before getting to my referance point while lining it up with the fixed object for right turns or the double yellow lines for left turns. He said to pretend that i am going straight and not turn the wheel, keep it straight. So thats what I did.

With turns either left or right, on days 6 and 7, will they disqualify me if say im making a right turn and lets say im trying to clear a curb, car parked on the corner, and i have to get my nose dirty and move more towards the left, maybe even go over the double yellow lines a little bit to clear my pivot point ( rear right tire) and theres a car in the left lane facing towards me should i honk my horn besides calling it out to my instructor or I dont have to honk my horn?

Will there be any highway driving on day 7?

So lets say I'm waiting to turn left in the intersection and a bicyclist comes along either from behind me or towards me in the opposite direction, I should wait for them to go away from me and then complete/proceed with my left turn? Also, how about passing a car or bicyclist or waiting for them to go past me, besides calling them out, should I also honk my horn at them?

Also lets say you're driving and are starting to come up to a stale green light and the countdown has begun and you're not sure when its going to change to red. My instructor said that on day 6 and day 7 if you're not sure of the the traffic light you just let the instructor know that you're going to wait at the traffic light and wait it out becuase you're not sure of the stale light and you're going to stop to wait it out. Is that the right thing to do?

Yes I corrected the drifting, I, however was making a left turn and saw two cars coming towards me, one was already passing me on the left. once it passed me, I started to turn and start to go to the right. I figured since i was first in the intersection I had right of way, and the other car was not near me, it was half a block away. My instructor said no they have right of way because I was going left. Now is that the same for right turns too if you're waiting to turn right and are already in the intersection waiting to turn right and theres another vehicle coming in the opposite direction thats half a block away and is not inside the instersection do we have to stop and wait for them to go first? regardless if its a right or left turn?

Ok, I already have my CDL so I don't have to do the CDL road test. Now as far as Day 7 is concerned, we have to do straight back and parallel parking right? or something else with parking? Also, When we park on Day 7, are they going to use traffic cones to simulate parking in a narrow spot or no? What is the route for day 6 and day 7?

Just got back from day 4, we did EL pillars today, it went ok. personally, im not a fan of them but i can perform it well. So we also did Parallel parking and strainght back, Everything went well. And no, None of us left it in reverse or drive for that matter. Everyone secured it, (P,N,I). Day 5 is going to be in Manhattan right?

Hi guys, so today I just messed up two times, first time was with the kneeler kneeling it up with the door open, instead i should have closed the door first then kneeled it up first. I only did it one time, that was it, the rest went ok. I corrected myself by scanning my mirrors, calling things out, but I messed up by drifting ( turning ) the wheel before getting to my referance point for the turns. Other than that everything went ok. So tomorrow Is day 4, i looked at the sheet for day 4, it says we are going to practice a mini pre trip to see what we know. What else are we going to learn on Day 4?
