  1. Yeah, but they need new buses to replace the last 140 or so Orion V CNGs.
  2. Yeah, R68/As were there as well. And I remember that work that was being done to the Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges at the time. I think that was part of the reason why the B51 bus had used the lower level of the bridge. In fact, I believe work was still under way when 9/11 came around.
  3. Yeah, a rush-hour W probably would of been a better idea. I remember riding R40 slants when the W was first introduced in summer '01. This was back when they ran in Brooklyn, lol.
  4. Yeah, I heard that the MTA was planinng on restoring the W line service. Hope they do, because it sucked that the 2 newest lines (both started in 2001) got canned in the 2010 doomsday mess.
  5. Did the MTA actually used all their R-160 options, or were there others that were allowed to expire?
  6. Anyone knows what exactly the MTA is going to do with those remaining C40LFs up there? They've been up there since at least last summer (2013).
  7. Yeah, but the units on Staten Island are still in working order (somewhat). They could of giving them another SMS.
  8. The R179s need to get here fast! Makes me wonder if ditching the R44s instead of giving them another Overhaul was the smartest Idea.....
  9. BTW, does anyone have any photos of #1602 and/or #1686 since their fires?
  10. I wonder if NICE will by some second hand Orion VII OG CNGs from NYCT once they retire in 2 years or so....
  11. Any news on when NICE will be selecting a new bus manufacturer? They need new CNGs asap. The 2000 Orion V CNGs are on their last legs and the 2004 Orion V CNGs are not too far behind.
  12. I agree, the 2006 Orion VII hybrids at MJQ should of gone up to MCH.
