hey guys, question -during your first week of orientation we will choose our divisions? now say i pick division B and during training we will be within ONLY b division yards? we wouldnt have to travel to A divisions yards? or do we still need to go to the BX even though we choose B division during training?

my problem right now is that i got to comfortable at my current job and build up a lot of senority..i have a lot of vacation time and sick time which i know i wont no long have and will need to start from the bottom again..but i been thinking and killing my brains out just thinking about it but here currently there is no where to move up the ladder..im just stuck here in the office like a robot..i just have to get use to it..i figure 3 years into the job we should be comfortable or those who are on the job now can chime in.. when can you actually be out of the mercy of the crew office and when can you actually pick the lines you would want to work with?

same here, i have a 3 year old daughter which i spend a lot of time with due to my current schedule and hours..weekends off..but im looking at the long run..i can actually pay a morgage and have my wife stay home incase we decide to have another baby because currently with her and my salary will equal to me just working for MTA excluding Overtime

im going to make the jump and not look back, i am nervous as hell to see people failing and getting booted due to failing practicals and signal exams..but i have to give this 100% and get my body ready for the early AM travels..i drove to work %99 PERCENT of the time and i hope it will continue lol if not i will just have to wake up EXTRA EXTRA early

"PERMISSION TO PROCEED ON CLEAR SIGNAL (# if required) on track XX" ok so in this case if the signal is red your letting the tower know your ready to proceed if the signal is clear ( no signs) your asking permission to the tower to proceed? and you will let them know the signal # and track# your on?

What were the practical one? Yard posting? Why 6 people failed the 2nd part? Mistakes wise

first day wont matter, when they call you in for medical that is when you will be interviewed man when i was there, i seen dudes with jeans, t shirts going for interviews

would the pay be different if they put him as cleaning for example?

thats i couldnt answer but im sure they would give you a transfer

you cant lose the job down the line due to health once you pass your medical@ 180 livingston and your taking your required meds and followups

it was sad yesterday when i let my job know whats going on, if the pay was good i would of stayed and consider..but being in the health field and union worker the pay sucks for my position..i cant even afford a morgage with my pay..i want my daughter to have her own house and i will take this opportunity to do it for her..i will just give this 100% and see where it takes me

i dont think they will send you anything in the mail if your waiting for the results etc, they usually call you

i would call them to follow-up, i wont lie from going to 180 livingston they are very disorganized

took them 2 weeks after my drug test to get back to me, if its been longer then that then i would def call them ASAP ..maybe there calling the wrong phone number?
