Congratulations running on rails,tommorow I'm at 207st yard ,for those who failed the famous signal exam ..any idea which signals you had trouble with?

Yesterday we got to move a train ,wasn't bad at all it was a r32. .everything is moving quick ,next week will make our 3rd week..we already have our schedule till June ..a lot of traveling and walking ..not easy at all

Today we was in 207st yard,lots of walking with these shitty mta boots..might put some Dr sholls inserts to see if that helps..school car isn't no joke for what it is..to those yard posting..can you explain what your actually doing? Are you paired with an expert? Mikeems, takes 90 days for benifets to kick in..during school car your paid 31.87 then in January your getting 2% raise then when you complete over 200 hours in road revenue I belive your getting 34-35 per hr excluding night differential

How was the signal test?

She is tough, they call her killah but I totally understand where she is coming from..I'm going to study the signals everyday to plant it in my head

I'm actually stressing the signal exams as we speak, today was my 4th day and we reported to ps248 and was told regarding this signal test getting 100% on both ...I will definitely make my index cards and also was told not to study the signals in the rules and regulations book Mr cka,where do you park when you go to 248? Was told today we are not supposed to park in the lot

Finished 3 days if orientation in Brooklyn ,tomorrow we report to ps248 for school car for 7 am ..we was given alot of info for the past 3 days and met with the union reps. .they gave very great advice and also warned and scared half the class regarding lateness,incidents and passing signal exams/pratical etc..straight up info ..class has 40 to and 60 conductors..i barley got the B division because they go by list number ..so 20 to A and 20 to B

Running on rails so when you do 2 trips what you do if it didn't reach 8 hours?

Man today was a long day lol..so much info on orientation, tomorrow I believe we choose divisions..alot of TO in this class and conductors..good news is that that are 2 classes left which will be big as well then they will offer the new TO exam ..mikeems your letter should be there by now bro ..today was benifets,vision,dental,videos ,401 vs 457 etc..very long day..

hey thanks for the replies, this forum has been very helpful to see whats im going against...just got to treat schoolcar like i was in college all over again cramming for exams and do well on my practicals..there is no turning back now since today is the last day im in my current job but i have to look at this as a opportunity that others want and now its time to be challenged

Very informative guys,start date is 10/26 bit nervous. .but let's see how this works out When do you choose your divisions? If you live in Queens, ny would they still throw you in A division?
